In Halo 5 bucks armor - Hell jumper doesnt fit our spartans very well
Also Vale’s armor - copperhead doesnt look right on our spartans
also tanakas - technichian is wrong …
because our spartans have one body type , it makes the armor look wrong =/
please in halo 6 can we choose between spartan 2 , 3 , 4, body types…or maybe just slim/medium/chunky?
i personally would like vales body type because it’s just so petitte =/
just a niggling view of the certain armors feeling off
On a more serious note, changing spartan sizes would result in different sized hitboxes, everybody would be running around in the smallest, slimmist body form there was.

Sure. Assuming the character model is the only thing that changes, let’s say hit detection is in the chest, head, arms, legs, all you need is make them stay in the same location and adjust the thickness of the character model. Sure this might result in minor clipping of game armor but as long as the height is the same nothing changes.
I want to be the guy that runs around with full Spartan sprint, plus speed boosts, with a dangerously obese body type but regular hitboxes! so that the majority of shots that hit my fatty parts just phase right through me without taking damage.
Body shots? Ha! Red reticule would be the only thing that matters! And the way I would be flying around in a blur, you’d hardly ever be able to react fast enough to the red blink.

If you’re making them thicker, then you are making them bigger, meaning a bigger hit box.
Agreed. Ever since Halo 4 Spartans have been emaciated and lanky. In the time leading up to Halo 6, 343 should have them in the gym doing squats, hang cleans, and bench presses.

The hit boxes don’t have to change. Just keep the difference in body type subtle. Like the difference between male and female spartans. They have the same hitboxes.

There is minimal aesthetic difference between male and female body type, its more so in the design of the black undersuit. If giving us different body types can only result in very minor changes in size, whats the point?
Wouldnt this go against the lore? plus Id find it easier to get some shots off a bigger spartan than a smaller one… ANd yes they could keep the hitbox the same but I dont want to miss when I can cleary see my bullets go through the big guy

Then it shouldn’t be done at all. Everyone should have the same hitboxes. Sorry guys. I do hope they update the models to look more…healthy?

Not necessarily, simply changing the model wouldn’t make you change the hit-box so significantly. And besides, who ever aims directly for a person’s arm? I aim for the head and torso areas… and shotguns are no good against those limp limbs.
