I think the first few missions with agent locke are for the arbiter to earn his trust. Lock clearly needs arbys information about chiefs location… (but why does locke think that arby knows something about 117?) By the way what about the chief missions? What does the community think about his departure? He has a reason and i think that this “reason” makes the arbiter really afraid (“because all our lives are at stake”) So if lock doesnt stop the master chief all our lives are at risk. I hope DecepinonCobra was right about his chief\cortana\gravemind-trap theorie (still…just WOW cobra) Would make an interesting campaign for sure. Please can anyone link his read- cant find it.
I believe that Spartan Locke thinks the Arbitor knows a little because of the small ties between the two. I also believe thet Chief is off searching for a way to bring cortana back with the help of blue team. Just a speculation, Mendicant Bias may also have something to do with this. I think Mendicant is the War ( cant get last part of name right now) in the halo xbox one trailer. Thank you for reading.
Do you have a link to DeceptionCobras theory?
I think halo 5G campaign is just going to be random stuff lol following Locke, Arbiter and Chief that would be cool right
oh and guys if you’d like to know of this halo story I thought of just send me a message or friend me on Xbox live Patriot Of Fotu and anyone know how to get in contact with 343 cause I really want to tell them my halo story that’s just based on a random story not part of the series and new stuff like cool maps, forge maps, Multiplayer new playlists, weapons, vehicles if you want to know what my story is about just message me and try to find a way to 343’s email so I can try and get this idea to them

Here you go. I think this guy may be onto something.

The one in which the Gravemind uses Cortana to lure and destroy the Chief? I liked that idea. It would be a good way to bring her back without disrespecting her sacrifice in Halo 4, and it could make for some compelling imagery and a horrifying look into Chief’s inner psyche.

Nah, he’s clearly nuts.
I don’t like that idea. How would you feel replaying the game knowing the whole time you were doing Gravemind’s bidding, but have to go along with it because that’s the way the story goes?
I thought it was a good one he had. I also had the concept in my mind that there was a device the Forerunners had in secret used to reverse the effects of the Composer, making digitized manifestations human and forerunner once again; with that being said, it would introduce an even bigger twist with Chief seeking it to turn Cortana human.
No matter where this goes, to end the saga, there needs to be a massive interstellar battle uniting all species that are not Flood to stop the Gravemind and its forces in order to inherit the Mantle; and, that Humanity is not the sole heir to it, but all of intelligent, sentient life itself.

You know the objective is to mislead Chief and the player, right?
My point is it wouldn’t be fun on subsequent playthroughs.

Wouldn’t that be the case with every story though? If your claim is that knowing the outcome of the story in future playthroughs will decrease your enjoyment of it, I can’t imagine how it would be different from any other game.
This is by far the best theory out there in my personal opinion.
Combine Cobra’s theory with the information gathered thus far from the H2A videos, and really it makes it even more of a solid theory. We know Locke is hunting down Chief because of his apparent desertion/going AWOL, and it’s imperative that the UNSC and Elites find him because the lives of both species are at stake. I’m getting goosebumps thinking about the idea of what can happen.
Personally if Cobra’s theory is correct, and they happen to throw in Mendicant Bias in there somehow, I’d be a happy dude with the Guardians campaign (I’d still be happy if Mendicant wasn’t in there).
Yey halo 5 would be a very dark game too. (like franky said…) What i like most about cobras theorie is that it would introduce the flood in an unique way where the chief is personally affected towards the gravemind. And in all that mess they throw arby and locke in… maybe halsey and blue team and where the hell is the didact? OMG its gonna be awesome! To bad it is just speculation…
I think it’ll go something like this:
First mission, John and Blue Team (possibly just as co-op buddies and not really there). Ends in a cliffhanger when they disappear.
Then we are introduced to Locke. Osman sends him on the search for the Master Chief, and he first goes to question the Arbiter. We get two or three Sanghelios missions fighting the Covenant Remnant and get some good Arbiter material and then Locke finds a lead on John.
Locke follows the lead and ends up fighting Prometheans, ending in some cliffhanger.
Then we cut back to John and see what he’d been up to. I’m guessing that Forerunner Phoenix thingy from the teaser will come into play (especially since it was in a hologram in one of the Halo 2 Anniversery Locke cutscenes), and the missions start cutting back and forth as their storylines intertwine, climaxing in some sort of John/Locke fight scene.
I also expect to see ONI’s darker side being revealed, through Locke, which would partly be the reason why John disappears. I have no clue what the bigger threat will be here, but I imagine (since he’s still alive) that the Didact will play a role. I’m also hoping for a return of the Flood (possibly if DecepticonCobra is correct in his theory, or in some other way) but I’m not sure it’s going to happen. In any case, I look forward to John becoming an actual character rather than a one-dimensional killing machine.

What do u mean by “random stuff”?
