halo 5's release date.

personally 2 years to make a halo is not long enough 343i need to take there time and put there best effort into making halo 5 if they want it to not be a major failure like halo 4 was.(only talking about multi player the campaign was awsome but short)they have released that it will come out in 2014 for next gen console. so if this is the case will it be able to compete with the graphics and gameplay of other next gen consoles.most of the good next gen games that are coming out have been in development for 4 to 5 years.it seems to me that it is going to be rushed and look very like halo 4.i didnt like the look of halo four as i thought the lighting on maps were the exact same on all of them.

please take your time to make this halo good i dont want to buy halo 5 just because its halo.

Who says they only took 2 years to develop it?

it will be 2 years from which halo 5 will be released.
im only asuming that its two years in development and if its more that will show why halo 4 was so bad besides the story.

If memory serves, Halo Reach was being developed during the final days of Halo 3s development, being up to 3 years development, potentially more. Halo XB1 could have been being developed since just before Halo 4s launch or perhaps even earlier, only time will tell.

I believe that Halo 5 is going to be amazing. I read that 343 has been working on improving the multiplayer experience and has been taking careful consideration from the fans on what to improve on since Halo 4. I’ve also read that 343 has been working on Halo 5’s story and most likely the game experience since before (or at the same) as Halo 4. I wouldn’t stress to much about this game being rushed. Plus 343 has a much bigger staff and workers since they first took over the Halo franchise.

Again with this argument? Every Halo game has been worked on before the release of its predecessor (and it’s mostly prototyping and planning anyway), which means all the Halos have had over 3 years of dev time. Halo 5 will have over 2 years of dev time. What does this mean? Halo 5 will still have one year less work put into it than every Halo before. You can’t escape this fact, so you might as well stop trying.

What you can say is that 343i now has a much bigger team than they had before, and a team than is bigger than any Bungie had in their Halo days. This team is builty from only the best of the best, selected specifically to carry on the legacy of Microsoft’s flagship franchise. You can say that 343i knows how much is at stake (this is their last chance to bring Halo back into shape, and they know it), and that they would never risk a shorter development time unless they were utterly certain that it will pay off, and most of all you can say that 343i has enough feedback from Halo 4 to be able to make a -Yoink!- good Halo game.

I trust in 343i that they can make a game much better than Halo 4, and I’m actually happy it’s coming out this early since I can’t wait to see what they have planned.

This, they started on it just before 4’s release, not to mention they have grown larger as a company and are more tuned for the next step(s) to take. All will be well I suspect.

Just one question

ps. i’m from switzerland so sorry for my bad english

Given that every main Halo title (minus CE, Reach, and 2) had a Console Edition, and that Halo 5 will be Microsoft’s most important Exclusive yet, I can pretty much guarantee a Halo 5 Console Edition.

EDIT: Just realized that this is a month old thread
