Halo 5's plot cracked (theory)

Do you believe the Master Chief succeeded because he was at his core, broken?

That’s where it all starts, the office of naval intelligence. As you know, after the presumable “death” of Master Chief, ONI jump-started the Spartan program once again. But do you think they just “re-vamped” the program out of the kindness of their dear hearts? No, the spartan program was active once more because they had their excuse, or if you will, their “martyr”. The Master Chief’s death was ONI’s excuse of the Spartan program returning, why do you think that un-named man interrogating Halsey in the beginning of Halo 4 wanted to know so much about the Spartan-II’s behaviors? His motive was to re-create the Master Chief, or just create an effective spartan like Master Chief.

However, when ONI’s Martyr comes back from the dead, how do you think they respond? Sure, Chief saved humanity from extinction again from the Didact, but they don’t care, thus starts Chief’s supposed “crimes”. If you know anything about Halo 5’s plot, then you know why Chief is on the run. Because he apparently shot-up an alien-human peace treaty, and the human ambassador was killed. However, I think that wasn’t him, it was all ONI, and now they’re covering it up.

And I think Locke knows/was in on it, think about it. In the live action trailer, the way he talks about chief, in his tone is a lot of hate and sarcasm. But why? Why is Locke so mad at the chief, well my theory is that HE was supposed to be like the next Master Chief. The strongest Spartan or the best if you will.

So Locke’s mission isn’t what we thought it was, bring Chief back? That’s too simple, my assumption is the true mission is search and destroy. He’s recruited his own team to hunt MC, but they don’t seem all convinced. Buck even questions Locke’s motives, as well as the Arbiter.

Now, Chief is on the run for his life, Cortana’s dead, and the people that ave his back is his old team, Fred, Linda, and Kelly. But do they stand a chance against Locke and Fireteam Osiris? Or the entire UNSC? We’ll find out in Halo 5…

Thanks for reading, see you on the field Spartans

I don’t care for Locke, hes gotta go. Hopefully either the chief kills him, or Buck and his own fireteam turn on him…which is possible if they discovered some sort of truth later on.

Locke is not the problem he’s tracking Chief, not trying to kill him… And I really think that the people who are looking for a physical conflict between the Spartan teams are very miss informed on their motives and general character.

You need to catch up on all the Hunt the Truth episodes, because:

Right before Benjamin Giraud was about to reveal the happenings on Biko with Master Chief(the shooting up of peace negotiations), ONI released a statement to the media vindicating Chief and absolving him of all crimes. ONI knew Ben had the upper hand so they spun the story in their favor.Chief is not on the run for his life, he is searching for the Guardians, as the E3 footage showed us. Fireteam Osiris is hunting Chief to find out why Chief is after the Guardians. Relations to Hunt the Truth are secondary to this plot line.

The plot seems to be the same plot form 4.

117 finds out about some crazy forerunner stuff happening and tells ONI about it and that they should stop it.
ONI is all like NO! SHUT UP! So 117 gets B team together and goes on his own. Lasky being the idiot that he is will help him. And that explains Infinity flying around.

Regarding Point number one…They started up the new Spartan program because they could. They could make their ODSTs into newer Spartans. ONI is trying to discredit Halsey, which is why they mention the IIs being broken and damaged. Chief is on the run because he is out to find Cortana. Locke is out to get him.

Point too…That was just a hype trailer. He doesn’t want to kill the Chief. Just doing a mission. Watch the Singleplayer preview from E3.

Same as above.

It has nothing to do with Cortana. The Ghost of Cortana is simply a manifestation of the Domain that the Chief sees. Cortana is dead. D.E.A.D.

D.E.A.D. = Don’t Ever Assume Death? lol Seriously though the Smart-AI CTN-0452-9 is decommissioned, to the sense her circuitry and firmwares has been outdated and corrupt.

ERROR: The File or Directory, CTN-0452-9, is Corrupt and Cannot be Found?

Same plot as Halo 4?

Did you even play Halo 4?

What’s the plot of 4?

117 finds some crazy forerunner stuff and when the Infinity shows up he tells them about it and that they should stop it.
The captain of the Infinity is all like NO! SHUT UP! So 117 goes on his own to stop it. Lasky being the idiot that he is, helped him.

Cortana being rampant was brought up once and never gain. Yeah, 117 went Super Saiyan, but the overall plot is what i said.
And that looks what Guardians is going to be.

So, JSA343, your question about if he even played Halo 4? The answer is “no”.

What? Cortana being rampant was hammered home in like every mission. They may not have used the word rampant, but Cortana’s pretty buggy and jumpy in a good chunk of dialogue.

That said, I don’t think its a case of chief warning the UNSC and them ignoring him, it seems more like he THINKS he’s in h4’s plot but its not.

That’s what rampant is? Cause that’s not what the description is.
If Rampant is a bad connection to Cortana Tube then i guess they did an ok job.
Cause in the story, like, actually dealing with her going nuts, i can remember at the beginning of the game it being discussed but after that i dont remember it being brought up again. Actually did they mention Halsey later in the game? Seriously, that wasnt an issue in the story at all.
