OK, so in the opening cutscene Halsey has both arms. The place she is looks like the room in Reach where the Noble team gets handed Cortana, or the easter egg hidden room. The thing I don’t understand is, in the Reach cutscene Halsey is young and has black hair. Why is she old in the opening cutscene, why does she say: when this is over, you have to kill us both Locke.
Does someone have a clue about what this is all about?
Halsey has gray hair in Halo: Reach. 343’s art style just puts more emphasis on her age. The opening scene in Halo 5 shows Halsey in the past just like you guessed, but the dialogue is from her in the present. As for what she says, it definitely has something to do with the storyline in Halo 5 / Halo 6. I couldn’t tell you what it means because I wasn’t much interested in Halo 5’s story.
I honestly couldn’t care as it’s NEVER brought up for the rest of the story. As we can see it’s probably on reach but she’s either referring to herself and cortana or herself and the chief when she says “they will order you, to kill us both”

Hm… I think it’s definitively interesting, if it has something to do with Halo 6.

Maybe she is speaking about ONI, and maybe this cutscene gives Hunt The Truth a meaning and the teasers a meaning for Halo 6
Might be a bit off topic, but is it possible that its some sort of a continuation from Halo 4’s opening scene, and was it Locke who was interrogating her in that opening scene?
