How do you think it will fare?
Personally unsure whether I’ll stay for the gameplay &/or the last of my commendations.
I think I’ll play Warzone Firefight to finish off my enemy commendations - then be done with that mode.
Warzone is harmed greatly by farming… So between just Warzone assault and the Arena playlists I do think H5 could get a bit tiresome.
Also - are you expecting any paid DLC? What level of support do you think we’ll see from 343 after WZF hits?
I’m hoping for boosts or multipliers for XP and/or RP to stimulate a bit more interest
I will stay playing this game as long as updates are sure to come. Whether they be paid or how we have had them for now. Not out of the fact that I ignore the lacking content when the game first went out, but out of the fact that I honestly enjoy the multiplayer. However I do make a point to change up what I do as to make sure I don’t get bored.
Personally I can never play a game and nothing else for very long. I will begin to get bored of whatever game it may be and I will lose interest entirely. It took me a bit to learn that as I got older and played many games, but now that I understand that fact I mix things up to keep it fresh. So that’s how I stay interested in Halo 5!
If paid DLC does begin to become the norm for Halo 5, I am truly curious as to what it will bring. As it may hold more content like what people have said for ages, “I would rather pay for DLC than get these sucky updates.” Which if paid DLC does start coming out it may make or break that argument. Could be around the same, or could be miles ahead of what we have seen thus far.
If they don’t keep adding content then I will probably play till I get everything and finish all Commendations then probably get rid of it cuz I’d have nothing else to do
My guess would be it will begin to fall in numbers around October/November time when other large popular games are released and take peoples attention away from Halo although a good number should still be playing.
For paid DLC i doubt 343 are that scummy as to promise us no paid DLC then after about a year suddenly release some but it is 343 so we can never know
Not sure if I’ll pick up TF2, BF1 or keep on Halo… or just break from online gaming

Here is your answer.
I think you’re confusing farming with getting REQ’d. I’ve only been farmed once and that was at the beginning of its lifespan. Remember, farming is where the enemy has control of your core room, but refuses to destroy it.

I won’t quit halo but that game looks so good I’ll have to buy my first ever bf game.
they really need to embrace forge with community map playlists if they want H5 to have any kind of lifespan

No, I mean farming,
Yes it only happens every now and again but a 5% chance of a really, really unenjoyable 20 minutes is actually a big turn-off for some players, myself included
It will go on, probably drop towards the end of the year with all the FPSs coming out. The core will remain but there are just so many options going on right now that it will be hard to keep your market share up.

I agree about finishing enemy commendations
i see another exaggeration of “farming”.
i don’t expect anything out of 343, if it’s free dlc, cool, paid? Oh well, guess I’ll stay be part of the divided community by not buying. As for support after firefight, I’d say it’ll be same as previous updates, a map/game mode here and there with more reqs.
no need for boosts, people already complain about grinding, why ask for something that will just make you grind even more?

Farming has really died down as many of the farmers now have Achilles, so I don’t think that there’s 5% chance of getting farmed. Like I said, I’ve only been farmed once, and I play a good amount of warzone.

It’s definitely around 5%
I’ve made posts about thisbsame topic as well. I have thouroughly enjyed Halo 5, I hope they keep it alive. I don’t really like a lot of games, and don’t get bored easily.
I will probably continue playing until H6. I would also not object to paid dlc, but if it is just reskinned maps and more mongoose variants then I will pass

So 1 in every 20 games you get farmed? Either you have extremely bad luck or you’re not actually getting farmed those times.
I give it a about a year is my guess. My bet would be a few months after updates it will start to lose population. The updates keep giving us something to talk about. When that stops interest will be lost.
Did you seriously just try to use farming as an argument against WZFF? Did you even play during the FF beta? There’s only one team. Who’s going to farm you, the Covenant? If anything, WZFF is going to breathe some much-needed life into the mode. I swear there must be people in this community who only play so they can find things to complain about.
I have played over 1000 WZ games and have been farmed at most 15 times. Yes, sometimes you can match against a full fireteam and that will almost certain end in a loss, but more times than not you can still have a enjoyable match as long as you accept that you’re likely to lose. Enjoying the thrill of trying to hijack banshees/phaetons or getting that dreaded mantis commendation are some of the activities you can focus on when you are overrun.
