I would also like to add to the greatness section: Homage & respect payed to past armors
I’m personally super happy about the forge, warzone is okay and the firefight just doesn’t fell like the reach one, but the game is still amazing.
Campaign- Disappointing
Multiplayer- Great but bit competitive
Forge- Awesome
Warzone- Cool but Farmers
Weapon Balance- Precise
Servers- Has its moment
Armors- Still don’t know how it made it
Custom Games- Fun to play with friends
Firefight- Fun but has a Challenge
This is my opinion so…yeah…
The only things Halo 5 really needs are a better story (343 should announce a retcon story DLC at E3), a working theatre, a classic Arena designed to play like Halo 2-3, a more intuitive UI & the original armour customisation system/customisable undersuits. Taking the armour out of the random number generator would also be nice, let us buy it with REQ points.Other than that, the game is pretty much perfect other than the frequently faulty servers & severe number of bugs (why do customs still freeze when a player joins or leaves a game, a year after release?).
If Halo 6 is being built on top of Halo 5’s content, I have high hopes for it to be great. Of course, that doesn’t excuse the amount of time we’ve had to wait for a finished game (and not necessarily a bug tested game), the fact that we had to wait a year for content that should have been there day 1 is still appalling. Hopefully 343 understand that for the next game.
Im surprised so many are praising the weapon balance when the games true meta is basically crouch walk with an auto.
The only truly great thing about Halo 5 is forge, thats not to say it isn’t a very good game, it is, but if they make the necessary changes, actually lusten to the community and don’t repeat the same mistakes then H6 could return the series to true greatness.
