Halo 5's Forge new problems

After the most recent update for halo 5, I (and most likely other forgers) have been experiencing glitches and issues. The biggest one would be the random crashes of the game. Earlier today I was making a forge map, and had forgot to save my map (but, this shouldn’t be a problem), As I was finishing the basic layout (which took about 2 hours) the game crashed, destroying all my hard work. I understand 343 is busy, but why can’t they fix this problem?! It’s really annoying and I don’t feel “safe” while forging. Please try and fix. Thanks

Didn’t you? Or someone else already post this same exact thread or one similar? Perhaps this is a new account of yours. Trying to bypass a ban or something.

If you’re trying to say something about the always-online network of Forge I agree it’s a problem. Or not as much of a problem it is, as an annoyance. But a solution would be. Yes, I’ll say it. Saving often.

When entering a map, immediately hit back to save the canvas. Work on it alittle and hit “back” again and often. You can leave the game and name as you please when you’re done or tired of working on the map. Or, instead of hitting back. Hit “start” and click “save map as” whatever you like, when you enter the game.

Than! After every block you place, hit “back” on your gamepad. This’ll save your map immediately, in less than .01 seconds. Do it often, after every block if you have to. Do this a lot. It will not force you to do any waiting, it’ll save your map then and there with no wait or hiccup. A little text in the bottom left corner will prompt you when your map is saved.

There is no problem with Forge in this regard. I’d say “git gud scrub” but I don’t know if this would apply here…

…really? There’s obviously a problem if the game CRASHES. He shouldn’t have to save every .01 seconds because the game is unstable. They should fix whatever needs to be fixed.

Come on now.

…He posted this thread multiple times for the last month or so. Forge after Hammer Storm is indeed a mess. But with apparent problems that are occurring recently; he SHOULD be saving often. If you know something is up, than you MUST TRY to counteract the problem now until the problem is remedied or fixed. It’s common sense.

Tom French and the Forge team are the most competent members of 343, and I’m sure any problems anyone are having are being fixed.

Come on now, buddy.

EDIT: Also, I didn’t tell him to save every .01 seconds. Just to do it often. Hitting back on the controller=immediately saving your map=.01 seconds=saving your map fast=not having to make new accounts to spam the same thread over… .01 seconds is literally a hyperbole that says, “save map fast” reading comprehension can get you quite far without having to endure conflict with others, bud.

You’re the one acting like it’s not 343’s fault that this isn’t fixed yet, and that he should be saving every second. While yes, right now, with how forge is, he needs be saving often, but he shouldn’t have to.

Instead of sweeping it under the rug by saying “save more”, direct this to Tom French through his twitter or something so they know it’s STILL happening. He replies to a lot of people and he’s very open to suggestions and squashing bugs…like hard crashes.

If this guy is still posting it periodically, again, it’s not his fault. Whatever fixes they’ve implemented still haven’t ironed out all the bugs. I feel like that’s all the OP is trying to say.

I know, me and many others have reached out to Tom himself. The OP should too. (His team is the only one I can tolerate of 343) It’ll keep him from getting in trouble on the forums. I’m not sweeping it under the rug, but just helping the OP now before a patch heads our way. I just don’t OP banned again if he was rightfully so. I can barely defend anything 343 has done with Halo 5 but i can defend Tom French and his team as i respect them.

And sorry if the last post seemed like an attack. Your first reply to me sounded like an attack and I rebuttled. And I apologize. But like others have said. Complaining on the forums lead to nowhere.

Glad you took the time to insult me with your asinine comment when I’m trying to help others, but what am I to expect from a person who’s posts are more non constructive, useless, nonsensical, and asinine than mine. I’d attack back but there’s no need to. You probably just want to boost your Waypoint rank for all I care with all your posts. Go ahead and tell me I need salt.

First off stop trying to act smart, secondly were you or were you not of use to him with your whole comment because it obviously doesn’t solve their situation and with your attitude you deserve to be insulted. Thirdly salt is for seasoning so yes you need some salt on your head.
