Halo 5's Forge Bugs, Glitches, and Errors

I will be listing these goofs in no particular order, but please do understand I have been experiencing these bugs and glitches for quite some time since the release of Halo 5’s Forge.

  • Bugs in the Forge.

  • Light Beacon 1x1x1 has an omnipresent unremovable and unselectable lense flare, this lense flare is also present in the Forerunner Lights, and the small Human Construction Light - The Human Beacon, Covenant Light Pods(Large and Small), Sangheili Light Inset A and B, Forerunner Lights A and B all ignore your lense flare settings and use their own over your setting, ignoring color settings as well. - https://screenshotscontent-d2001.xboxlive.com/xuid-2533274856071306-private/05273389-eeca-4942-9409-75050f378ce4.PNG?sv=2015-12-11&sr=b&si=DefaultAccess&sig=%2F%2BErlDfBYyjFV3E9lGByD%2B2R6OM0SYc43JpsqPzpqwY%3D - When a prefab is spawned with any these lights in it, their default omnipresent lense flares will turn on, but usually adjusting a random setting makes unnecessary flares disappear, such as adjusting spawn order. O.o - Early in Forge you could select multiple objects and duplicate them in the direction they were facin, i.e. at a 45 degree incline, or a 20 degree rotation. Now when you duplicate a selection it will duplicate in the direction of the map’s grid. (Very annoying if trying to build a map on an offset axis.)

  • This numbered list is Glitched.

  • When moving an object near the instakill barriers and soft barriers of a map, Forge has an interest in teleporting you and your object anywhere from 600 ft away to 18,765 ft away, making it impossible to retrieve or delete. (There’s an old video on my Youtube Channel that has a few patched and still unpatched glitches.) - When selecting the Parent for a Vehicle Weld, near a built-in kill boundary, there’s a chance the vehicle will EXPLODE and jump scare you, and also destroy your creation. - When looking at an object’s magnet point, to snap your selected object to another, it is extremely hard to do so when surrounded by unrelated objects; your object will either snap to an unexpected magnet elsewhere or it will not magnetize to anything at all. (This can SOMETIMES be fixed by duplicating your destination object and placing it inside the destination object creating 2x as possible magnet point.) - When selecting a Parent on a group then immediately saving the group as a prefab, the group will spawn in in a verry messed up state!

  • Errors that do not belong.

  • The Cinematic Camera has no real defined tutorial or tips on how to adjust the DoF withe the Focal Range and Focal Point. - Most of the 64x64x* Primitive Detailed objects are either slightly rectangular or the rotation axis is offset, this leaves annoying 1/2’ gaps on the N/S sides as well as 1/2’ overlay on the E/W sides. - The 16x16x4 Triangle has a useful broken one-way hitbox, please release a one-way projectile barrier if it’s fixed. - The 128x32x4 Detailed Primitive Block has an odd hitbox. - The Construction Crane Boom is slightly offset in every rotation, on spawn, to trigger OCD. - The Construction Crane Body has an obnoxious selection box. - The Warnecke Wrecker’s opaque blocky underside is actually very cheatsy and lets players hide inside of the messed up object hitbox. - The 48x48 piece of grass has a messed up shader making it practically useless to use. - https://screenshotscontent-d5002.xboxlive.com/xuid-2533274856071306-private/a55ddbe9-6584-4299-960e-769bfb89a339.PNG?sv=2015-12-11&sr=b&si=DefaultAccess&sig=uQ0MlvgMZCTyT669YKRFZnXSXRqdJT02kHOCEpoiuJo%3D - The Wall Trim Pieces all have varying accuracy of magnet placement. - The 72x64x* Primitive Detailed Block has a messed of LOD, hitbox, and magnets. - The 16x16x32 Primitive Simple Block has a missing magnet on one of it’s corners. (Assymetric error) - The Structure> Accents> Wall and Ceiling breakout decoration structure blocks have minimal offset magnets that make using the a pain in the butt. - The Vehicle Bridge 32x48x4 has an oddly flat physbox compared to its near lookalike, 64x48x4 which has the divots included in the physbox. - Some animated pieces, when grouped together with non animated pieces, will mess up the physics of the entire group and destroy your OCD life work. (If multiple Forerunner Energy Bores are grouped together with non animated pieces it will freak out and crash your game. ) - The Alpine and Barrens canvass has a hidden polycount budjet that when passed makes objects disappear to ‘optimize’ the game, this includes but is not limited to: Any Vehicle, Playermodels, Weapons, Grenades, and non-hitscan projectiles. - These ‘optimizations’ also disable the ability to interact with them, causing Air Vehicles to become invisible to you and your lock-on weapons and also making any ‘invisible’ vehicles IMPOSSIBLE to hijack. - Tidal still suffers from Light Bake lag, starting my ‘Sunion Shores’ map in Custom Games is a perfect example of the ridiculous 1~2 minute loading time for anyone joining.Hope it’s possible for some of these to be patched.
