It reminds me too much to Spartan Ops. I mean Campaign, just advance killing more and more enemies without charism
One of the things I liked the most of Reach’s Campaign was the way to had to resolve the missions; the sneaky mission with Jun on night, the objectives missions where you have to destroy Covenant guns, the mission where you had to protect the civilians…
The enemies in Halo 5 seem to be without any strategy, they just stand there trying to shoot you, you know what I mean…?
Definitely is the Campaign with less replayable missions
You said this before. You said:

And I said (because I don’t want to type it all out again):
Well that doesn’t sound right at all.
First, let’s deal with the Scorpion: Yeah, Exuberant gave it to us. But in Reach, “The Package” the one mission that uses Scorpions (Halo 5 has at least two), it’s just sitting there.
Then you list the objectives for Reach while just saying “advance and kill” for Halo 5. But let’s actually, you know, do this properly:
Deactivate Generators: that’s what every Halo game has you do, that’s “advance and kill”, push a button, “advance and kill”, push a button, etc. Been that way since CE, whether it was a door, a hangar, a terminal, a cartographer, “advance and kill”, push a button.
“Blow up a Covenant Ship” … “Scuttle the Argent Moon”. Same thing. “Advance and kill”, push a button. Fight off Covenant, go push a button in a control room, fight off Covenant, thing blows up in a cutscene. Same. Damn. Thing. But let’s not forget taking out the Kraken, finding the Constructor, and the intel missions (certainly no “advance and kill” there).
“Sneaky Missions”: well, Halo is not a stealth game. Especially not with a squad of 4 Spartans. Even in Reach, that sneakiness rarely stayed sneaky for long. Maybe the first 5 minutes, but come on. Ever play an actual stealth game? You can’t play Halo like Dishonored. But yeah, since Reach had camo and no squad (just Jun) it was possible to be sneakier.
Enemy varieties. We do miss Brutes. No one misses Buggers. Promethean Soldiers act like Skirmishers (think about it). I do miss Engineers, they’re cute. And … well, I don’t know why you listed Jackals, Hunters, and Elites. We have different Elites (Minors, Majors, SoS, Zealots), and the Hunters got a revamp (they’re brutal), Jackals melee now, too. Everyone got an upgrade.
And that’s not me saying Halo 5 has the best campaign, I’m just being fair.
But now I have to add that Halo 5 has an achievement for protecting civilians on Meridians.
Nothing you said here about what Reach has and Halo 5 has not is true.

Lol you definitely have a great memory!
Well I undestertand your point man, Halo 5 Campaing was not that bad, okay, but I don’t know why I missed that " militar" feeling in Halo 5.
I just have the feeling of kill and kill and kill enemies, while in the other Campaigns I could realize about what I was doing.
Of course Halo 5 has good things, for me it’s the best multiplayer, and the Campaign has the most beautiful environments ever in any other Halo (Genesis, Meridian, Sanghelios…)…and it has Buck and Blue Team

Well, just don’t get me started on Halo 5’s story. lol.
I think the difference in feel between Reach and Halo 5 is that one is 2552 during the Human/Covenant War with Spartan IIIs, and the other is post-war 2558 with Spartan IVs. The UNSC came out the victor, they have some sleeker, newer tech (including the Mjolnir armor), so think of military tech pre and post WWII.
But really, what’s the difference between blowing up the Argent Moon and blowing up the frigate in Long Night of Solace? Shoot through waves of enemies, push a button, shoot through waves of enemies, watch a cutscene.

He is right about the lack of military feel and no charisma in 5. In reach campaign we all felt invested in Noble six I mean the final battle
i played that over and over repeatedly. Look at the first 3 and reach the tension was there, in 5 i just didn’t feel that way. For me though it could just be age I was 16 when the first one was released so it was a different time for me. With 5 i just raced through it and went onto multiplayer.

Maybe it’s nostalgia. I mean, the covenant spoke no English in Reach, Grunts said nothing funny. Carter was just a big ole bag charisma, wasn’t he? More bland than Locke. Jorge and Kat were great, I’ll give it that.
Just to be clear, I’m not so much defending Halo 5 as I am trying to figure out why every though Reach was so great. I mean, I love Reach, but it’s my least favorite Halo. And I’ve always been an old man, so it’s not nostalgia. lol
Basically ya
Pretty much with more content and effort put into it haha
