When I played the multiplayer beta for Halo 5, I was slightly disappointed in the amount of customization options. Instead of being able to choose a helmet, chest, left and right shoulders, forearms, and legs, you were able to choose a helmet and armor set. When I saw the incredible customizations in Halo 4, I was ecstatic when I saw how many options I had for my Spartan-IV. But now I’m wondering if 343 really cares about our personalization, especially with the disappointments in the Master Chief Collection. I really hope that these options were only temporary, as the Beta was meant to be a test (and it took place around a year before final release) and I’m counting on the final release to fix these issues.
I was also disappointed halo 4s customization was really good…
But it was just a beta more customization options similar to reach and 4 could make its way t the full game.
This is old news, there’s been countless posts on this already. And by the way, armor customization will be full like Halo 4, and the Beta was just a tiny bit of what’s coming.

true there are many posts on this, but the only confirmation i’ve seen is that tweet from josh holmes promising more content not more customization options. have they released any other info other than that?
Due to the betainess of the beta I think it is safe to assume that the final product will have at least Halo 4 levels of customization. What I want is customization more akin to Halo Reach which, in my opinion, has the best customization. Mainly I want stupid little accessory things like the wrist computer or grenade belt, because I like the image of power armor with places to put ammo instead of leaving it up to my warped imagination to come up with a location to store all of those BR rounds.

I agree. The customization in Reach had a much more militaristic feel than the armors in any other Halo game. The accessories were a nice addition, especially since (as you said) showed that ammo could actually be stored.
i’ve learned not to assume with 343 they have a very differnt mindset, but i do agree with reachs customization and style. it was also my favorite and what i hope to see again in halo games.
I can’t wait for that armor that doesn’t maintain the look of the original Halo art-style, the different classes of armor that looked like the other armors but had the smallest color change on them, and the bad colors to the armor e.g, red armor looked like it was dipped in tomato sauce.
Most of the armors in Halo 4 looked (imo) horrible and out of place in a halo game. I’m hoping for no power ranger/transformer looking armor. It would be great if they included the few armors from H4 that looked Halo, and added all armor permutations from H3 and H:R but updated to look gen 2.
i think there should be one set of armor per rank, think of all the possibilities by the time you get up to fifty or so ranks ?!?!

yeah, i really liked some of the halo reach armor components, like the CQC shoulder pauldrons and the Grenadier Collar pieces, grenade belts, and robo-arms, bring em all back I say
