Halo 5...

Ok, cutting speculation, we KNOW that the chief is headed towards something, and that something is huge.

During Halo 4’s campaign, stuff will happen on that thing (lets call it a planet).

There are only a few different ways it can end, in terms of the Chief.

  1. The Chief dies
  2. The Chief gets trapped on/inside planet
  3. The Chief leaves
  4. The Chief blows up the planet, then leaves (in true Halo style).

My speculation is that the Chief will end up following option 4, destroying said planet, and flying off into space saying to Cortana, “No, I think we can keep it going…”

Which leads to my question. ASSUME MY SPECULATION IS CORRECT in answering the question.

What next?

Feel free to argue against my speculation, but I would like to hear your opinions and speculations as to where the blam the Chief will go after Halo 4.

No just… No

Does anyone else think this planet is the same as the planet from Halo: wars?

I don’t think he will die. It is only the first in a trilogy. I think he will blow it up.

> Does anyone else think this planet is the same as the planet from Halo: wars?

You mean the planet that was blasted litteraly into millions of peices when a fusion reactor was detonated inside its sun, and is clearly seen exploding in a huge fireball in the last cutscene in Halo Wars? No, not a big possibility. Onyx is more likely, but that was kinda blown up a bit too.

to early to speculate about halo 5 story. lets see what happens in halo 4 first.

All I know its going to end with a cliff hanger

Possible that chiefs kills the timeless one and that signals the percursors to come invade the milky-way

Or you find out who made the flood (Possible Spoiler: percursors)

Or something that is so unexpected that its blow your mind

Or a halo 2 style ending

Is it not the Micro dyson Sphere he’s heading towards? Which is meant to be the biggest thing the Forerunners created, 300 Million kilometers in diameter I think it is

And the Chief will not die in Halo 5, that would be somewhat silly

Sorry about that, I couldn’t remember the ending.

It looks like he is heading towards a micro dyson sphere similar to the one in Halo wars (planet sized). The thing they pulled from where Onyx used to be is a full-sized dyson sphere, whose interior surface is 500 million times greater than that of Earth’s. I’m curious to see what role it has in future canon as well as what they find inside it.

Maybe not because Cortana says: If Halsey let them they gonna make another Cortana model for you.

H4 came out a few months ago…there is no reason that a game studio as small as theirs should already be focusing on the new installment rather than doing post-launch support.

What are you talking about, he is orbiting Earth at the end of Halo 4, and besides, 343 are better storytellers than the whole heading towards a planet thing again.

I am positive they’ve started developing the next installment. Anything else would be madness.

Holy necropost MJOLNIR equipped Batman!!!
Due to very old topics tending to have run their course, there is no need to bring them back from the “dead”.
Locking this back into the crypt.
