Hey all!
I pre-ordered two copies of Halo 5 for me and my girlfriend - but per the Gamestop page it has a lot of pre-order bonuses.
Do you get any of that when you Pre-Order on the Xbox Store? Doesn’t look like it… But I find it pretty lame I have to go pick it up 30 minutes away at Gamestop and come home and download 9GB per Console just to play…
Kinda would be nice if the exclusive offers would be available with yanno…Microsoft?
Yeah, but everything will be obtainable in the REQ packs.
Gamestop does it as a means to get people to purchase it from them. Every other business does a similar thing, though it seems Gamestop has the “best” pre order deals. However, all items they offer day 1 are able to be obtained via req packs, so nothing is exclusive.

Minus the Locke Armor, which is what I want. I just read it up - all of that is Exclusive to Gamestop only, which won’t be in Req packs.

Got a link showing I’ll be able to get the Locke Armor Req pack? I’ve read multiple sources stating otherwise

That’s absolutely false. All armor/visors/gun skins are available in REQ. This has been confirmed numerous times. Gamestop just lies to people.

Everything is obtainable via REQ packs, except for certain emblems like the Fotus one. ‘‘Exclusive’’ to gamestop is written that way in order to sell, which is obviously working. It just means they are the only business offering the Hunter class armor. Im pretty sure you unlock it during the campaign play through for multiplayer anyway.
It even states it on the wiki. Unlock: Pre-order Halo 5: Guardians from Gamestop or unlock it via Mythic REQ card.
Doesn’t really matter where you pre order unless you’re getting some sort of deal. Pre ordering just means in this case you’re getting it sooner at launch. You can earn everything later or buy it and get lucky.
I don’t even know how to get these. I didn’t get any req packs. Is there a download?
