Halo 5 with elite controller vs normal controller

I have not had any experience with the elite controller. And am curious about it. I have been thinking about the way i play and have come up with a couple conclusion as to why i feel im not playing as good as i should. I tend to jerk the sticks and over shoot my target. And i tend to be a little slow on the trigger cause of the long pull. So i was thinking of getting another controller and putting longer sticks on to see if that would help with my aiming. And modding the triggers for a shorter pull. So the more i look into doing this i wonder if i would be better off just to spend the big bucks and buy a elite controller.

Elite controllers are dope, Scufs are even better. It is all user preference.

I got one for Christmas and have been really pleased with it. They aren’t cheap but totally worth the money in my opinion and feel like a quality product.

We’re in the same boat. I’ve been thinking about buying one for some time. There are matches that make me think, am I playing really bad or is the other team using elite controllers. I know if I don’t have the skill, a new controller will not make me a better player. But I’m gonna give it a try. And yes, they are expensive.

I haven’t used an Elite controller, but I’ve recently got a pair of thumbstick extenders and they’ve made quite a difference. If you can’t afford the elite but want a better controller, get the thumbsticks.

Paddles are a pain in the -Yoink- to get used to…I still can’t use them properly muscle memory has me going for buttons that I shouldn’t have to reach for anymore

The thumbsticks was my original idea…but doesnt fix the trigger problem. And for the cost of a another controller, thumbsticks, and trigger mod i might as well just consider the elite controller.

There’s a huge advantage when using any controller like the Elite, Scuf, or the Razer Sabertooth back on 360. Being able to make certain moves or actions without having to take your thumb off the right stick or your index off of the trigger make for some insane possibilities that just can’t be done on a regular controller… Which can be very frustrating when you’re aware of it like I am. I just don’t know if I’m up to buying yet another expensive -Yoink- controller after all the money I spent on 360 ones, all of which eventually broke.

I got one on Christmas and I love it! It took a while to get used to the layout I set up, but in the end it was worth it. I can’t play Halo 5 on the regular controller anymore lol.

If you’ve got the money, and you play a lot of online shooters (or just Halo), I’d say go for it.

I bought one on release day, and it’s fantastic.
The paddles take a lot of getting used to, and it took me a long time to not accidentally jump, or reload during a fight, but they’re such a big improvement.

I use the longer stick on the right stick for aiming, and it really does feel a lot nicer. It’s much easier to make subtle adjustments when aiming.

I loooooveee my elite controller, wouldn’t ever go back to a normal controller for anything. It feels so premium and has some nice weight to it.

The paddles are what has me interested.

Having extra mapable buttons is a game changer in this game.

Well i guess i might be using part of my tax refund to buy one. No wonder im always broke! Lol

I just got my Elite controller yesterday and only got to play around with it on campaign (I only had like 5 min). I still you my FPS freaks from game freak on the shorter joysticks and it feels about the same for aiming. If you don’t want to by an elite controller I would suggest the FPS freaks and lower you sensitivity. Everyone always wants to play on higher sens., but I just lowered mine from 10 to 4 an average 5 to 6 kills more a game.

I need a friend to get one of these things so I can get a feel for it. There’s no way I’m buying it without trying it first.

Elites are superior and cheaper than a SCUF with the same specs.

Elites come with a carrying case and different size sticks with custom button mapping. All those things cost extra for SCUF.

ELITE over SCUF

I played an elite for 10 days and a SCUF for 10 days. I returned the SCUF and kept the Elite

I love mine. I only use 2 paddles though. I play with the Halo 4 control scheme, and the bottom left paddle is thrust, and the top right paddle is crouch. Everything else is default except I also use hair triggers.

My biggest problem is my left joystick is incredibly loose in it’s socket. And microsoft wont fix it or refund me so I have to buy an entirely new controller to fix the problem.

Love my Elite controller. Not even using paddles.
