halo 5 will suck if u dont add class playlist

Halo 5 will suck 343 if u dont add classic playlist like halo 3 and 2 u can keep infinity playlist but their needs to be both or the population will drop again listen to me 343 i dont want halo 5 to suck but u guys need to take more time makingn the game and please both sides of the community!

IMO I think they will have two playlists with both Infinity and classic gametypes, and even if they don’t add a classic playlist, it’ll still be a fun game.

ya maybe for you but the majority of the community wants classic playlist with csr in the game or else it will fail again and the majority of the people will leave!

I personally thing that ranked (in game) and social playlists are more important than a classic playlist.

No we need both!

I don’t care, I’m a campaign player

Believe me, I’d love for both to be in the game. I just don’t know if they’ll put it in or not.

I could see the populations staying steady for at least a year if they make it “Like Halo 3”, cause if people hear it’s similar to Halo 3, they’ll buy it, maybe H5 would even sell more than H4.

But at this point, we know almost nothing about the game, all we can do is speculate, and anticipate.

I think he means splitting the multiplayer up into two like halo 3, which I agree is more important than a classic playlist, but yeah, classic playlist would be good as well.

Halo 5 will suck if Halo 5 will suck, not if it doesn’t have a classic playlist.

Halo 5 will suck if it doesn’t use Halo 3 as a base from which to move forward. If it tries to evolve from Halo 4, it will suck.

The game should solely revolve around classic gameplay.

This is what i posted on another post of the same topic:

You need to have 2 Main Playlist, which are then split into Ranked and Social Playlist.

Ie:
Classic
Ranked
Social
Infinity
Ranked
Social

This would allow everyone to enjoy the Halo they want to play.

Classic would be an evolved version of Halo 3.

Infinity would be an evolved version of Halo 4.
Maybe an option for no Ordnance as well for the REACH lovers.

Each of course would have any new vehicles and weapons that have been created for the new Halo game.

The Sandbox would be the same for both. Only real changes are:
Classic:

  • No Loadouts
    No AA (Equipment Only)
    No Ordnance
    No Perks
    Sprint (TBA)
    Weapons Spawn on Map

Infinity:

  • Loadouts
    AA
    Ordnance
    Perks
    Sprint

Legendary slayer is supposed to be the perfect balance between the old and the new.

Why don’t we reserve our judgement of whether or not a Classic playlist is required after we see what 343 have up their sleeve.

I don’t think it will suck, but it will be worse if they only have the thing the like to call “Infinity Slayer” (sends chills down my spine just saying it)

Jk about that last bit, but it will be worse without classic (love me some good old halo 2)

> The game should solely revolve around classic gameplay.

I would like to agree with you, but we can’t.

This is Bungie’s fault for the massive changes in REACH with the addition of Loadouts. And Halo 4 is an evolved version of Halo REACH.

Many people would love the next Halo to be Halo 3 evolved, but there are many who have only played Halo REACH/ Halo 4. These people would hate Halo 3 evolved, and the argument would continue.

You would see hundreds and hundreds of post of Halo 4/REACH is better. I want Infinity Play list, etc etc. The exact reverse to now.

The only way to please everyone is to cater for everyone.

Classic
Ranked
Social
Infinity
Ranked
Social

Why you need the above. And then from here, if one is far far more popular than the other, you can cut it back.

But we need both for now.

This is not 343 fault, this is Bungie fault. If Halo REACH was an evolved version of Halo 3, imagine how more awesome Halo 4 would be.

Both Halo REACH and Halo 4 are great games, they are just missing something that both Halo 2/3 had.

In all honesty, and everyone knows this. If H5 doesn’t deliver the classic standards of Halo that all the vets (90% of your fanbase) have craved since Halo derailed in Reach, it will fail.

If it delivers, standby for the population to maintain and hold the number 1 spot on xbox once again. If not, see current wargames population.

> Halo 5 will suck if it doesn’t use Halo 3 as a base from which to move forward. If it tries to evolve from Halo 4, it will suck.

Agreed.

But if Halo 5 was to evolve from Halo 4, it would still be a great game. But if it were to evolve from Halo 3, it be even greater.

Unfortunately Halo 4 has evolved from REACH.

Could you imagine how great Halo 4 would had been, if REACH had evolved from Halo 3. And Halo 4, was the evolved version of Halo REACH from which had evolved from Halo 3.

It be amazing.

Blame Bungie, not 343 for this.

I think I’m missing something here.

Reach is still an evolution of Halo 3 it’s just that it introduced things that didn’t work.

Halo 3 introduced new mechanics too. Like turret carrying, Equipment etc.

The difference is that Halo 3’s stuff complimented game play while Reach’s didn’t as much.

343 has shown that it’s possible to take a problem causing mechanic and repair it. Weapon tuning is a good example of this. It has offered balanced game play and the personal feeling of using your own weapon of choice is still there.

So it’s possible to fix these mechanics that were introduced in Halo Reach and 4 in a way that compliments game play.

When Bungie made Reach they weren’t out to create a different game from Halo 3. It was an evolution just like Halo 3 was to Halo 2 the only difference was that Reach had new additions that didn’t work very well.

343 attempted to fix these said failed mechanics and they did succeed to a degree. AAs a more balanced than they were.

So if 343 evolves from Halo 4 and fixes these mechanics once and for all than it would be how Reach should’ve been in the first place so it would be the true evolution of Halo 3.

If it starts from Halo 3 than we give up all the progress made and start again. Chances are we might end with new mechanics that don’t work again.

Halo 2 didn’t copy-paste Halo CE as a playlist, and it did fine.

Halo 5’s multiplayer will fail if it imitates CoD.
Halo 5’s multiplayer will also fail if it does nothing different from Halo 3.

Frankly, the game will not fail if it doesn’t exclude classic. I personally believe it should have classic, but that’s besides the point.

While many of the new mechanics are disliked, not all of them are. To pretend everyone wants to go back to Halo 3 and add a few new weapons is naive at best.

> Could you imagine how great Halo 4 would had been

If we want to go down this road, can you imagine how great Halo would be now if Halo 3 never existed and Bungie focused on making an actually competitive game?

Or if Bungie tried harder with Reach and made it a better evolution of Halo CE than Halo 2 could have ever been?
