Halo 5 will change it all

We all know that Halo 4 is a dissapointing game and there are many many issues that irritates many of the original Halo fans. However what if 343 would actually learn from this experiment and change it all in Halo 5?

There have been so many complaints so I guess it’s pretty obvious many people don’t like this game. So what if 343 would actuallt go back to the roots a bit and get rid off the CoD elements and and and make a game that looks and feels HALO! I’ve mentioned the lack of innovating in H4 many times so what if we gave ideas for 343 how to give something new for Halo 5 while respecting the basics?

Here is one of my crazy ideas:

How about using water elements in H5? Would they work? Imagine a campaign mission where you would have to drive some kind of covenant water vehicle and shoot grunts from the shore and other incoming enemy water vehicles? Still respecting the basics: If your boat destroys you will die cuz chief can’t swim. Waterfalls? water tunnels? Landscapes overall?
Could this work in MP? Imagine Valhalla for example: You could go through to river to the enemy base with the boat only? There could be bridges too so you could also use hogs to move between the bases (or just walk.)Not in competive playlist but how about big team battle?

That is my crazy idea. A little bit of work and could stuff like this work?

I’ve always wanted boats, please give us boats.

No boats.

Unfortunately the amount of $$$ 343 are being paid has made them ignorant and deaf.

The only hope for Halo, is if Destiny completely destroys all competition, and innovation is once again required for other developers to compete.

I’ve said this multiple times: The community is more creative than 343.
It’s like we’re giving 343 the cheatsheet to Halo’s future and they think codifying Halo is the right idea.

An amphibious assault equilvelant to Normandy would be so amazing if executed properly.

But 343 has alot of trouble with the execution, (source: Halo 4).

> We all know that Halo 4 is a dissapointing game

I hate it when people say stuff like this. I love Halo 4. Sure it has a few problems (every game does) but I wasn’t disappointed at all.

Yes my fault not everyone thinks H4 was a dissapointment of course.

I for one firggin love this game.

of course there are issues but has anyone ever released a game that EVERYONE liked?

> Unfortunately the amount of $$$ 343 are being paid has made them ignorant and deaf.

Ever think about what Microsoft has to do with the matter? Microsoft basically filters what should and shouldn’t be in the games, in a way. I don’t know too much about the relationship between developers and publishers but that’s a jist of it. That’s sorta why everything requires a darn gold membership and everything you do has to be online, it benefits MS. It makes me wonder how much freedom Bungie had after their departure from Microsoft… must have felt good. However, I could be wrong, so please correct me if I am.

Anyway, I for one was not disappointed with Halo 4, not as much as about 95% of the community on here at least. Sure there are some things that need an update, but I’m fine with the game.

As for the boat/aquamarine idea, I think it would add diversity to the game, and if implemented correctly it could be really fun. Reminds me of Halo CE on the Silent Cartographer when I would drive the hog as far as I could into the ocean lol.

There should have been a BETA for Halo 4.

If you don’t put out a BETA, then this sort of thing happens.

Hopefully Halo 4 will be the BETA for Halo 5.

Creative is one word for it. Pants-on-head idiotic is another.

Water-based levels are exceptionally hard to pull off, to the point where even master game creators Valve made Half-Life 2’s Water Hazard a low point in the game. Bungie actually cut a boat-based level from Reach, because it controlled so badly that it would have brought the rest of the game down.

Besides, I don’t think a boat-based level would feel like a Halo level, given how you’d either be given freedom to travel wherever there was water, or it’d just be an on-rails thing. I guess, if it worked similarly to Reach’s New Alexandria with a ‘Typhoon’ (?) instead of a Falcon.

Yea I get what you are saying but I think the water elements would work great. Just like you first time got to fly a banshee and wanted to find out where you can get with it and what can you do with it cuz a thing called banshee was new and looked cool. What if there had never been any flying vehicles in Halo before and they would make a debyt in H4? Would you still like them as much as now?

However that water element was just a crazy idea as I wanted to prove you can actually bring something new not just copy another games. The point was that we could innovate and give our own ideas for 343 and maybe they’d pay attention to what we have come up with. (propably not but we can always hope).

We need more ideas and innovations as it has been shown that copying is not the greates option when making sequels. IMO.

I like the idea… But i also like Halo 4.

Halo Reach had a Beta… yeah that turned out well cough not cough

No, Halo 5 will NOT. Halo 4 was suppose to be the game that brought players back. And it probably did for the first few weeks. But that’s all Halo 4 really is, fun for a few weeks.

Halo 4 had pretty good marketing to have everyone ambitious to play, even showing off in movie theaters. New enemies, evil has awoken,… that spells out fresh start, to me fresh start is scraping all previous ideas, instead still became Halo Reach’s major influence…the worst Halo game. The game IS Halo Reach, but with the BR.

343 will never get me excited for another Halo game for the deception they put on me and other gamers. True Arena shooters are dead. I’ll have better luck developing my own game than with hoping to have an old Halo-like game back.

For an aquatic campaign setting, they have to fix the AI first because ever since Halo 3, the AI can’t harm players who are underwater. They can only spam grenades.

You just made Ubisoft cry.

Turned out better then the pile of [censored] we’re playing now! 1 more TU and H4 might be considered ready for release.

A water element would be pretty fresh and exciting, in the event that it could be pulled off.

I still can’t believe they removed so much from Halo 4 that made the original trilogy so great.

I think Its time to face the fact that we will never see another game like the original trilogy. Im not just talking about a new halo game, I’m talking about any new game. It makes me sad to see what games are today, the way that publishers only care about money. I remember a time where games were actually an art and not a copy and paste. 343 has lost my faith in them and they will probably never earn it back. 343 needs to understand that they need to make another game like the original halo trilogy. I still play halo custom edition and halo 3. ( I would play halo 2 but microcunts shut down the servers). If anything, I hope 343 puts halo 1 2 and 3 on steam so that I can experience my childhood again. I don’t know how much time I have left to play halo 3. :frowning:

Exactly. Think about it. Only two of the Halo games that had online multiplayer didn’t have a public beta. Which two Halo games were a mess balance and/or bug wise when they launched? Halo 2 and 4.
