I get killed and it won’t resume from the last checkpoint that it saves automatically. It goes back to Xbox Home and you have to load the game like you just started to play. You see the Halo 5 splash screen at the beginning (Xbox Home screen). I rebooted the Xbox, ejected the disk out and put it back in and checked for updates. Nothing worked. (No problem with the Internet) Bug city!!! It just happened today. Also it keeps forcing me to look at the news message when the game is loading at the start of the game before it will load the solo, multiplayer options to choose at the start of the game. At the start of loading the game I hit the little menu button like it wants me to do to view the multiplayer news then loads the menu for solo, multiplayer, etc. Then I choose solo play, then resume it closes the game and takes me back to Xbox Home. The only way I can play the game is to load a checkpoint that “I” saved or it will go back to the Xbox home screen again to load the whole game over from the start.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it…
I am having the same issue since the last update. I have also read on many other forums that this is an issue. Some people have discovered a solution by uninstalling and reinstalling the game(some said it took 5 times before it worked). I am really hoping this issue will be addressed in an update ASAP so I’m not reinstalling the game 5 times hoping that it will fix the problem but not guaranteed that it will. Extremely frustrating issue.
Same here but this is 343 and not bungie so its going to take a couple of months or maybe a year like mcc
This is a known issue at the moment, it’s being tracked in the support forums 
All I did was restart the level anew and it worked fine after that… sucked but hell as long as it let me progress I guess it is as good of a remedy as any. Still should never had been an issue though
