Halo 5, what made you get it

The title is rather self explanitory why did you get halo 5.
I got it because i played the beta and loved it and i thought at first i got it for the story but after beat it i felt an emptyness… na im just kiding but i wanted more out of halo and i got in to multyplayer and i will never stop playing it now

truthfully, i got it because of 2 reasons, 1: because i love the halo series and obviously wanted to know how the story was going to play out, and 2: because i had a lot of friends getting it as well.

though there are things i really dont like about where halo has come to, i still enjoy playing H5

I got it for the same reason I have gotten every Halo game. I love Halo. I am a Halo addict. Sure Halo has had a lot of changes over the years but it’s still my favorite game and franchise.

Kind of out of habit. Halo has been a major part of my gaming life and even though Halo 4 had some issues, they weren’t bad enough to turn me away from the franchise (though I did start being more critical of Halo when Halo 4 came out). I went in thinking that 5 would be a universal improvement upon 4.

I was out of the Halo scene for nearly a decade until Halo 5 showed up. The multiplayer simply looked awesome.

Nope, because I didn’t see the fake previews until I beat the game lol.

  2. Curiosity to see how 343s second game would differ from the first
  3. I’m in a halo based gaming community, hard to play with them if I lack the game
  4. 343s claims of going “back to its roots”(and it did to an extent)

I got it because i enjoyed halo 4 and reach and I thought it would be just as good. Oh how naive i was

With the exception of the Zelda franchise i completely agree with this.

Honestly, the thing that made me the most excited for Halo 5 was the marketing for the game, and more specifically, the Hunt the Truth Podcast. Season 1 of that podcast was very well done and got me super pumped for Halo 5. What disappointed me was that the game had almost nothing to do with the podcast.

i feel that it did, i think they completely mislead how the story was going to go.

I had halo 5 because I am a big fan of the halo saga, my goal and rushed rank in each halo.

Because it’s a Halo game and MCC was still a mess during that time so I needed something to play.
