Halo 5 well…is reverse Halo to me

Alright so let me make sense of the title, y’see before I played Halo 2 at my cousins (when I was 8 or 10 can’t really remember) I was strictly a Nintendo guy, mostly Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon of course, however once I turned 16 I got my first 360 (there were some technichal issues to work out) and thanks to Halo 3 I left Nintendo for quite while. then 2 years of Halo 3 later, Reach came along, and blew my -bad word- mind! It was so dark, yet so colorful, so immersive, yet so fictional, I felt as though this was the send off we deserved (my opinion) and I loved every minute I played of Reach. Of course I still had rage moments as do we all from time to time, but I digress all was good…until 343i stepped in. Halo 4, I won’t deny, it was HEAVILY based off of CoD elements, yet implemented them in a way that almost felt “unique” something I knew Halo was good at. At first I hated Halo 4 as much as anyone else, and definately had my fair share of rants about that, but then I tried out the Forge and Customs to see if they were any better than MM, I was pleasantly surprised that the Forge and Customs were not only well designed, but heavily customizable, something I LOVE in Halo. 343i did at least a decent job with 4, and the campaign despite feeling like a Halo skin for Star Wars Episode IV (my opinion) was definately immersive. Halo 4’s legendary campaign was even a decent challenge. Then Halo 5 came along, and like everyone else, I was hyped, it looked good, the Beta was good, I thought “Hey they might actually pull this off.” Wow was I wrong, Halo 5 is not only the shortest Halo campaign of all time, it’s also the least interesting. I played it once on easy just for the story and it blew soooo hard! Never touched the campaign again, then I tried out “Arena” man, I’ve never seen such a “wretched hive of scum and villainy.” Seriously everyone or almost everyone who steps into Arena MM is either a sweaty tryhard, or an MLG wannabe, it’s the worst Halo multiplayer experience I’ve EVER had! But like everyone else I stuck around through the muck and grime because of these “scheduled updates” hoping they would make the game more enjoyable. They didn’t (<- inset Markiplier saying this here)

If anything the new updates broke the game more, too many OP weapons, and not enough original maps, the only good thing to come out of these updates was the Wasp and it’s made of paper and plastic! Needless to say after the final update I quickly lost interest in Halo 5, and guess where I ended up? That’s right, back in Nintendo’s warm embrace, I forgot what it was like to purchase from a company that treated you like a person instead of a walking credit card. In fact as of yesterday I dropped Halo 5 almost entirely for Pokemon Crystal, that’s right not only a pokemon game, but one from 2001! Why? It’s simple, replay value, Pokemon games and well almost all Nintendo games have GREAT replay value. MS games sadly do not save for Halo’s 1-4 and GoW. The point of this post is, Halo has lost i’s path, I’ve come to accept this, it’s not the franchise that I fell in love with all those years ago, but rather an empty husk with an extra coat of gloss just to appeal to the “younger” crowd. And let’s face it with MS pulling 343i’s strings, I have no doubt Halo 6 will be just as crappy, and broken, and unenjoyable as Halo 5. Do I plan on getting Halo 6? Yes, for the end story only. Will I invest time into Halo 6? HELL NO! Not unless it FEELS like a Halo game, or plays like one at the very least. So let’s just say, if you like Halo 5, more power to you, if you don’t, or like the older ones better, do what I did, play them instead of 5! L8er!

Well, that’s all your opinion. I found Reach okay, but despicable when Armor Lock was around. Halo 4 was just all around trash, and the multiplayer turned off many players from the series. I find Halo 5 to be in the right direction, if only just a step. I completely dropped Destiny for it, among other games.

I even re-bought GTA for a friend, and dropped it less than a week later because of all it’s problems.

Fallout 4 kept me until post Far Harbor, but it was clear they were heavily pushing settlements.

Rocket League is one of the few other games to keep my attention.

People have these kind of send off ever since Halo 2 was released. Even here, some people want the MLG to reign over the “kids”, and other people loathe the attention towards competitive play.
