I have always thought that in Halo Reach, the Covenant had a huge variety in weapons. Now in Halo 4, the UNSC has an even larger arsenal, and the other factions, especially the Forerunners, barely match them.
FORERUNNER WEAPONS
Stasis Rifle:
-The Promethean equivalent of the Spartan Laser:
>Uses a charge time that can envelope up to 5 targets in a deadly constraint field depending on how long it is charged.
–The amount of targets the weapon can terminate is based on the following charge times.
}-5 seconds: 1 target, deprives 20 percent of the ammo
}-7 Seconds: 2 targets, deprives 40 percent of the ammo
}-9 seconds: 3 targets, deprives 60 percent of the ammo
}-10 seconds: 4 targets, deprives 80 percent of the ammo
}-11 seconds: 5 targets, deprives 100 percent of the ammo
>The constraint field will paralyze targets, whom will eventually disintegrate after 3 seconds.
Focus Canon:
-The Promethean equivalent of the SAW
>Fires a steady beam of raw energy that inflicts heavy damage on targets.
–It takes around 3.5 seconds to kill a target, but the weapon will overheat after 7 seconds of steady fire, which will drop the users shields.
–The total ammo capacity is 21 seconds of constant fire.
Hardlight Sword:
>The Promethean’s secondary CQC weapon, it is the same variant used by Knight Commanders.
–Require one hit to drop a target’s sheilds, and an additional one to kill.
–The trigger can be held down to initiate an EMP shockwave that will propel the user backwards and drop the shields of nearby targets at the cost of additional ammo.
–The Hardlight Sword inflicts half of the damage done by the Energy Sword, but with twice as much ammo and also the shockwave ability.
>Killing a target with the Hardlight sword will result in disintegration.
Displacement Canon:
>The Promethean equivalent to the Concussion Rifle
>Fires powerful shockwaves that inflict major damage and knockback to targets, each clip holds 7 bursts.
–The Displacement Canon can kill targets in 3 hits, and will flip vehicles with ease.
–The Displacement Canon has a low RoF, which is approximately 1 shot/second. After 7 shots, the reloading time for the Displacement Canon is an additional 3 seconds.
