I know Halo 5 was where most Original halo fans left but I think Halo 5 had one of the best multiplayers of all time. The movement and weapons were amazing and I think the promethean weapons were the best in 5. Yes it isn’t like the old halo’s but just imagine for a second it didn’t have halo branding. I think then you’ll admire the game more. The way movement was around the map was phenomenal and the sparten charge and ground pound where amazing features. Overall I loved Halo 5’s multiplayer. I want to know what you guys think.

I cant day it holds up against tribes, quake trilogy. Titanfall series or unreal but it was a good movement shooter a lil bit clunky for me personally would prefer halo2 movement anyday but understand peoples love for it. Arena was fun.

I have said this for a long time now. Halo 5 should not of been a Halo game. For the same reaspn advanced movement didn’t work in COD it didn’t work in Halo. But Titanfall has advanced movement (and if it weren’t for poor release dates and Apex being so popular we would probably have more of them) while COD got rid of it.
Halo 5 mechanics should have been their own game and i definitely would have liked it way more.
Yeah even though spartan charge had the word spartan on it, it felt more like destiny or some other shooter with special abilities. But Like I said earlier as its own game that ability was awesome.
I even wonder if Halo 5’s mistake was simply the number. If it had been ‘Halo: Guardians’ and expressly tried to set itself apart as being led not by MC and having a different gameplay and multilayer I think it could have worked very well…
That was also a thought. If they alternated and made a mainline game then a spin off game and kept that cycle going i might enjoy that.
The spin offs don’t necessarily have to stick to cannon or lore with different characters and such.
I have to check myself again, but I remember way back on I think Act Man’s vids, he said that 5’s initial idea was to be something like ODST, where we planet hopped as Locke to learn what happen to chief. therefore we could be able to learn about Locke and blue team over the course of the game
Frankly that would have been fun to play. and maybe they could add a lore bit to the updated armor, which adds the advance movement.
Locke in my opinion wasn’t super terrible. I think it was Osiris that mostly hurt Halo 5 character wise.
My thing with it is we didnt really learn who Locke was in the game. Like unless you watched Nightfall, you would have never have known that he use to work at ONI.
it kind of falls under way Buck was liked. we knew who buck was because of a past game
?Vas? and ?Tanaka? I didn’t really learn who they were. I think Vas use to live on a dead planet? and Tanaka was bilingual with the elites? (or was Vas that? i forget)
if lets say the “Locke” draft was greenlit and we did what I said, we could have learn about these characters more or something
…
tho i could be reading that wrong. since they added the 5, we went “John time” not “locke time” lol
Actually in H2A Locke is in the extended legendary ending. So you do know about him in that.

fair. i did forget about that. it did show him as a mysterious spartan.
Yeah not many people knew about that or at least saw it themselves because no one wanted to go through the pain of doing the Halo 2 legendary twice.
