Halo 5 vs. Halo infinite

Halo 5 is more living, more (ambient) sounds and effects, faster and more fun while Halo Infinite is just boring, less sound (good shooting sounds though) end effects, slow (also with the hamer) ect. Ect. Halo Infinite is stupid! What do you think?

So are the previous Halo games.

How much sound do you want!!! 343 effects have always been terrible, so having more of them is actually worse.

Faster does not equal better and “more fun” is an/your opinion.

That you have your own opinion/preferences that are different than the majority of the Halo community.

Faster is better and more fun.

It’s a video game. Why on earth do I want to play a limited experience?

Talking about sounds I mean like when zooming in in halo 5, the sounds are nice futuristic ect. and for every weapon it’s special zoom sounds, In infinite it’s less. Also when playing infinite vs halo 5, infinite is quiet meanwhile in halo 5 I hear ands see 5.1 middels granaten, people flying, like a f-movie son! Infinite is slow and boring, also the maps are way to smal! No challenge in halo infinite, battle pass at 100, so what to do next… make infinite eat dust like 343 left us for one year! (Only for this?) people who like the old halo style are the same people who are old nog, so it makes sense for them to like a slow halo infinite threat is boring as F!

like @Army356 said, faster does not mean fun. Fun is subjective. I myself like Halo Infinite’s pacing.

A slow-paced game does not really limit your experience. Please elaborate on how it limits your experience.

It’s a limiting experience because now I have less plays available at my disposal. (Less ways to kill) so going from more ways to less ways feels limited

I think you are referring to the lack of weapons (since we only have what 14 or so weapons?). I thought u were referring to the pacing of the game limiting your experience.

Both games are very fun for me. I wish at times Halo 5 had a higher population as I enjoy playing Team Arena and Breakout a lot, but I can’t get good games of it consistently. The movement and pistol is a lot of fun.

Infinite is great as a social game, I love BTB. I also love competitive. They’ve improved Strongholds and Oddball. The juggling isn’t as ridiculous (it’s far too fast in H5). The maps are really good.l and there is far more weapon variety.

Hopefully at some point with forge (and if we get a workshop) we can recreate Halo 5 in Infinite. I would love all games to be playable within the Infinite mechanics. That would be dope but maybe a pipe dream.

Halo Infinite is in no way shape or form in a good place right now. But it is in my personal opinion night and day better than Halo 5. All the potential is there. The foundation is laid. It’s just going to require a much higher level of execution then what we’ve gotten thus far.

Halo 5 ODST mode is way better than this mess.

I’m not going to compare any of the Halo games because at this point seeing how 343 has handled infinite, what content was produced and the quality of it?

Who the hell know what work 343 actually did, but I have an idea.

Multiplayer only:

The core gameplay loop is better with Infinite. Mostly just because it’s not precision weapon or die. This gives you a more relaxing gameplay if you want although you can dial that up. It feels nicer to play.

I think your Spartans look a lot better. Not because of art style BTW. More that everything isn’t smudges of varnished blue and red. Own colours and black under suits makes a big difference. Same with the environments although there is a 6 year gap and console generation between these games.

Music and sound design is consistently better. There’s a few nice tracks in Halo 5 but I think they knock it out the park here.

Halo 5 already had co-op, forge and new modes this many months into its launch. You also don’t have Warzone as an additional social mode. You had vastly, vastly more stuff to collect. You had more maps this far into release.

I don’t think Halo 5 had anywhere near this many technical issues into its launch. Certainly not a whole mode breaking for several months.

Context is important. They had six years of game development. It’s not 2017. They clearly set out just to refine Halo 5 multiplayer and forge not reinvent the wheel. I am not seeing anything ambitious or ground breaking here. People did complain about Halo 5 shipping without this stuff so it’s a courageous decision to try that again.

At least you are complying that halo infinite is slow! :joy::joy:

As long if you pay (for?) campaign I played within 4 hours, battle pass 100, xp points pointless. SMH 2 infinite!

6 years further and halo 5 looks like it was released this year after halo infinite (to me!!!) I would say, grade halo 5 up with things from infinite, just like they still upgrading MCC, so it’s possible.

Fun is subjective, plenty of people still prefer the slower (in some measures) pace of the older titles, because of the gameplay experience they provided, which IMO Infinite still does not nail, but it’s the closest we’ve gotten.

Games, not just video games, but sports and board games, are defined by their limitations as much as the options available to the player.

And what is the excuus for removing the female gender (but keeping the voices) and own 2, 3 colors in infinite? To slow down the game? :person_facepalming:t2:

The only thing better about halo 5 is the visuals, the playlists are organized with social in one page and ranked in the other, rank emblems look better in h5 were as infinites plat and diamond rank look almost alike, h5 emblems look so much better unlike infinites very pixelated look, emblem customization, and weapons are better in h5. What infinite has better is the feel of the servers on pc and slightly as good on xbox, theres no heavy aim and feels very smooth on pc, im able to hit all my shots without it feeling like im aiming at a team mate and makes my aim go all over the place even though im shooting at an enemy player. In the end game play is top priority which is why i prefer infinite all they have to do is implement some qualities h5 has and make them a bit different.

Halo Infinites gameplay and graphics make it a clear winner, if not for its content UI and customization.
