Halo 5 vs Halo Everyone Wants!!

Halo 5 as been out for months now. Some people like it and some don’t. Some think it lacks content. I think so too. I am not a Halo purist I like all the Halo games but there are some things I didn’t like about Reach, H4, and H5.
Halo 6 will be in the making soon or already is and I have some ideas that I want to share with everyone of what I think a GREAT HALO GAME should be. YOu can agree or disagree but don’t bash me or anyone else on this post.
I personally think HALO 2 was the best HALO GAME there ever was and will be, but thats just me.I believe if the flaws were worked out of H2A’s engine it would be a great start for the next HALO GAME or a restart for another H2A Game.

So Far HAlo 5 is pretty balanced in all aspects except for a few things like being randomly booted from games, last shot kills not registering, and not being able to Veto maps and gametypes. I also dont like the lack of gametypes like ODDBALL, KOTH, and Assault missing from the game as well as Richochet, Infection, Vip, Regicide, Stockpile, HEadhunter, Juggernaut, and Race.

Lets talk about H2 for a second. I love how the BR sounds and feels in H2A and H2 Classic. The quad shot (if you could pull it off) was the pinnacle of Halo 2 along with the BXR. These things really split the skill gap between Casuals and HArdcore Gamers. I think HAlo 2 really nailed it when it came to multiplayer. The auto aim was just enough to where you could pull your clutch shots off and give everyone something to work at to get better. Some think it was too much but I think H5 needs a touch more.

If this Franchise wants to survive and bring this game back to its full glory then some or all of these ideas should be implemented.

Game Engine. Either H2 or H5’s Engine should be used.
Power Weapons- Sniper: H2 or H5’s. I like both personally so I’m not sure.
Rockets_ H5’s rocks are fine.
Needler- H5’s
Sword- Definitely H2’s for sure. The swords since then just suck. I love the lunge it has. and being able to swap real fast for a kill.
Nades- H2’s I like how they bounce and how fast they explode plus you could shoot them in players faces.
Pistol_ H:CE This pistol unlike in H5 could be a power weapon on the map you can obtain with a 3 shot kill to wreak Havoc with.
Shotgun- I personally think H:CE was great because of its range but H5’s would do. ITs nice too.

OK lets talk some more about these power weapons.
H2’s Classic sniper was near perfect in my opinion. It had decent auto aim but not so much that everyone could master it. Its better than H3’s in the aspect that you didn’t have to lead your shots. H5’s is great too its about the same in my eyes compared to H2’s
The needler is just fine and dandy in H5 but make it to where it explodes spartans.
The rockets I like as well in H5.
The sword in H2 was perfect. It was the perfect weapon to gain control of a certain side of a map with its lunge. You could also switch to it very fast and get a kill which I like. ITs a power weapon for Gods Sake it should’t take you 50 years to switch to it before you die.
I like the nades cause you could instant nade people as well as shoot them in their face plus they bounce very well off platforms.
The H:CE pistol should be a 3 shot power weapon that has to be picked up on the map. I also love the pistol whip from CE.
H5’s shotgun is very balanced and I love it for what it does.

Now for all the other weapons that have been in all previous Halo games should be in the sand box.

Bolt Shot-be able to switch from a charged blast to the one you see now in H5.
Bring back the brute shot, Focus Rifle, Brute spiker, Spike nades, Pulse nades, Incendiary Nades, Gravity Hammer, Plasma Launcher, Grenade Launcer, Sticky Detonator, Needler Rifle, Concussion Rifle, Plasma repeater, Target Locator. Basically have all types and variants of each weapon from all HALO Games in the forge sandbox so You can have unlimited options to choose from.

Now super jumps would be fun as well as Ghost jumps. I personally think they make customs very fun. Also skill glitches would be fun in customs and multiplayer but I think alot of people hated them cause they didnt know how to do them but for me I would love to see this again because of the skill Gap it potentially has. BXB, BXR, RRX YY RRX, Nade Reload, Crouch Jumps, Gandhi Hopping were all things that made Halo Halo.

We also need a custom control software in the game to make our own layouts and be able to even name them what we want.

Bring Back the old emblem system from Halo 2. It was awesome. YOu could toggle emblems and make them want you wanted to be.

PLus HAve Reach’s Armor unlockable system instead of this REQ Crap.

Halo 2’s Rankning system was awesome so I would for sure bring this back and with the original emblems without the Number inside the 44-50 Rank symbols You could also step it up a but more with the ranking system and even throw in the ability to get 50 past rank 50 where it put a symbol next to it like in H3 or Reachs rank symbol or even start out at an IRon Rank and go up to a Champion Rank 50. Basically you would rank up from 1 to 50 and then once you reach Rank 50 you would be given an iron rank and then have to climb all the way up to a Champion and Have the symbol next to the 50 Rank. I would love this.

Clans were awesome in the H2 Days so I would say this needs to be in the game as well cause you can find custom lobbies and players to go in with in Multiplayer matchmaking with. Just have a different Tab .next to the friends list tab. Also a CLAN WARS PLAYLIST would be awesome to have as well. 12 on 12.

Custom Lobby finder would also be something to look into when you cant find one and maybe even a Built in Forum to talk to others about the game.

NOw I know alot of people like the H3 equipment and Reach Armor Abilities So why not have all the AA’s and from Reach, H4, and H5 along with H3 equipment in customs so everyone can do what they want.

Have All vehicles from all HALo games in the game along with a Vehicle Wars playlist for all that love them. This could be where you use a special req card cause it would be hard to have all the vehicles on the map just wating to be used.

All gametypes up to this current Halo should be in the game as well not excluding a single one from the past games.

HAve all the best maps from Each Halo game implemented in the game. i know this will be hard but I’m sure it can be done somehow.

Social needs it own Tab with playlists that appeal to noobs and casuals with a spartan rank and symbol ranking system similar to Halo Reach’s. It should be based on time played and each playlist counts towards the overall Rank. Also throw in some of the Military symbols from H3 that were missing from Reach’s

Now for the Hardcore Gamers that love the old Halos and the new HAlos You could have seperate playlists where some have sprint and Armor Abilities and some dont. And some have skill glitches and some dont. Have a mix to appeal to all Halo gamers so no one is left out what so ever. How hard would that actually be 343!! For the Playlists that dont have sprint just increase the movement speed just like in the H3 MLG playlist.

Give us the new ability to thru a flag like a spear into the enemies chest. Same for bomb & Ball.

Also have the ability to throw and pass the oddball like in H4 but be able to turn it off in customs if you want.

I’d say find a balance between story and gameplay. Personally, I think H5 did a great job with m.p.h. overall, but the campaign doesn’t have the emotional element that made H4 's campaign so endearing. I want great gameplay, but above all, I want to see Chief’s humanity and personal journey to shine again.

Thankfully, Frankie has already stated that H6 will have a much more human storyline, and if they want H6 to really meet it’s potential, they should make Cortana’s final wish to Chief the center of attention: “Which of us is really the machine?”

It’s clear that after the events of the “Next 72 hours,” Chief has already forgotten this, going on one mission after another. Even Fred is now concerned for John’s well-being. For H6 to succeed, I think an IN-GAME confrontation is order between Blue Team and Chief in regards to this (and possibly Osiris as well)

Halo 3. Just excellent.

Halo 4. Excellent story, poor MP.
Halo 5. Poor story, great MP.
Halo 6. Just excellent?

Oh for goodness sake! Really?! Still haven’t learned this lesson yet? What they say and what they do have never worked in harmony. What Frankie said about Halo 5’s story prior to release turned out to be almost to flat out lies.

What I want is give me the old.mechanics, and reimagine and rebalance the sandbox from scratch. Make the weaponset balanced and remove unneeded ones. Try vehicles and maybe ones we couldn’t use in previous games. Try a new grenade type or a new way to get around the map(remember those horizontal man cannons in Halo 2’s high charoty campaign maps? I wonder why those were never utilized in MP).

Basically, innovate outside the mechanics and get a stable release. Set your priorities straight and do what is expected from a Halo game first(like gamemodes and whatnot), then add on top of that.
