I’ve played so much Destiny now that I’m burned out. The raid’s loot system is a cheap -Yoink- way to keep people playing, and all I really play is PvP and even then. Stormcaller Warlocks with shotguns who can’t fight without their scrubguns and supers. There’s also Bungie nerfing this and that while introducing an OP weapon, and taking months to balance it out… only to repeat. It sometimes feels hard to have pride with my 1.91 K/D and my 2.43 KA/D. Because all I fight are stupid players who Bungie caters to.
I’ve had so much fun on Destiny, but now I hunger for worthy enemies, and Destiny cannot satisfy that hunger.
This year, Destiny will likely die. The reason Destiny was so successful was that it had no major competition, and MCC was broken. Plus it was on four platforms. Now, Destiny’s TTK won’t be much of a match against big titles like Halo 5.
Halo has a rich, well developed and crafted universe. Destiny doesn’t. The game seems to go in different directions all at once, but none of them go very far. All you see is wasted potential.
There is no comparing. Halo 5 will most certainly win…
I hate to pooh pooh any game, but Destiny was the biggest disappointment in my gaming life. So much wasted potential. PvE so boring and repetitive. PvP just so poorly designed and executed. When it came out it was going to be my go to game, should have known it would never usurp Halo.
A lot to like about destiny but for depth and grand design I have to give it to Halo. There are elements of Destiny that are done better in Destiny than other games in it’s class and hopefully other will take some design queues from it.
I love Halo! I loved Destiny, the problem i found with destiny i felt it was too DLC heavy. I didn’t feel like i got the full experience of the game if i didn’t buy the DLC but then I also felt that the developers just wanted to milk us for all of our money. I know this is a common theme among modern games but i’m not a fan, I hope Halo 5 isn’t that way and I have high hopes.
Comparing Destiny & Halo is like comparing an orange & apple. Destiny is more focused for MMORPG play; gearing up and fighting bosses in “Strikes”(dungeons) or raids and “the crucible”(competitive pvp). Halo is more specifically story based and competitive multiplayer with vehicles and more variety for objectives.
Destiny and Halo are great in their own respect however it is purely dependent on personal preference. If you like MMORPG’s then play Destiny. If you prefer story progression and playing colorful multiplayer competition then play Halo.
Halo has that endless wealth of knowledge that is it’s story,Also,it has a more consistent reward system now (req packs)compared to destiny so sad excuse of a lot to syetem and what it actually doesn’t on then gamepla
Destiny is a great game, Halo will be a great game. Looking forward to large team battles and cleaner frame rates. I’ll still be running Iron Banner, and Osiris if they ever fix it. Raids are awesome, and Rift is insane. But Halo is all hands on deck full MS/Live support, and Forge is back. All games have drop in play, if you love a game play it. BTW looking to join a group for Warzone/Slayer.

> Bungie isn’t what it’s used to be, that’s for sure.
You’re right a consumer shouldn’t care about how hard a product is made but they should take care in getting information on something they buy. There was news before launch of them losing their main writer which led to bungie scrapping the original story. There was also news on Marty o donnel being upset with bungie. We had warnings on issues the game could potentially have so it’s not all simply on bungie if you’re displeased with the product. Lastly why does everyone say $500 million was put fourth for the one game? It’s for all ten years of the franchise. Now I understand what you mean, destiny was a huge lie with all the advertising and we were promised many things that were to be in the game but weren’t. It has lost many fans and even older bungie fans however, it’s no flop like you seem to think it is. It’s also no cash grab lol. Bungie had plans of destiny years ago to when they were making halo still. It takes passion to still have the desire to make the game many years after initially wanting to start it up (Microsoft said no and wanted bungie to ONLY make halo games). They have the passion so it’s not a plain money grab.
After playing Destiny, it really catch me but I ended up getting rid of it about a month after release, though people now are saying its better but I have already tried and Im not looking back to playing it so here in the next short few hours we have left I await Halo 5, for which will entertain me more than a game that had no story.
Posting this on a Halo forum, not sure if you’ll find any objectivity. Just validators and trolls. Only a few posters in here with any brains…YOU know who you are.
