HALO 5 vs Destiny

I’ll bite on the losing end of the stick.

I’d take Destiny over Halo for the following reasons.

  • Destiny’s movement just feels right. Halo 4 was not fun for me to play and so far Halo 5 doesn’t look like it will fix that for me. - Halo 4 I finished in a few days and I never picked it up ever again. I’ve played Halo 1-3 countless times but Halo4 never peaked my interest to play again. From what I’ve seen I don’t have high hopes that Halo 5 will rectify this issue. - Replay value: Destiny may be grindy but I can play it with friends and I don’t have to be in a pvp firefight all the time. There is very little PvE replay-ability in Halo. - Story… Destiny’s story was… terrible. However it has gotten better with every patch and DLC. Halo on the other hand took a sharp dive in Halo 4 and from what I’ve seen Halo 5 doesnt look promising here.I love Halo, but for me almost all of its value comes from the Story and Master chief. Halo PvP was never particularly fun for me, probably because I’m not hardcore. Destiny has a pretty cool social experience and better replay value to me. The PvP definitely isn’t competitive but I think it offers greater fun to a larger audience.

Boo Halo over Destiny any day.

halo

Destiny too much of a grind. You have to raise the same weapons and armor over and over and once new dlc comes out you have to do the same thing. Gets old well at least for me I need something new not the same grind can’t wait for halo the pvp looks really fun.

Plus warzone looks pretty cool and the story aka campaign well destiny was horrible so yea…halo wins that one.

MY NAME IS MICHAEL J CABOOSE AND I… HATE… DESTINYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

And Taxes

Halo. It actually has a story. Destiny does have interesting and addictive gameplay and mechanics, but the grind is extreme. There’s RPG grind, MMO grind, and waaaaaayyyyy down at the bottom is Destiny’s ‘grind and pray to RNGesus’. It got old quick. TTK didn’t help as much as I thought it would.

> I think Halo 5’s going to offer more replay value to me just because we’ll be able to create our own experiences once Forge drops. Content creation really does add a lot to a game’s longevity, and Destiny doesn’t have any content creation to speak of.

Good point. I love Destiny as well and have made a ton of friends playing it. Those same friends will be playing Halo5 with me so win win. Halo is where my heart is.

I still want cookies and oj

To me WarZone was the main selling point and the campaign for Halo 5

Halo for sure! But I’m still gonna play density too! I can get my grinding fix in density! But halo’s way funner!

Halo wins this just because destiny doesn’t have tons of place to do just like 4 planets and same mission over and over. Halo 5 new fresh and looks great

Red vs blue fan here

I like both equally

In my opinion…

Halo 5 will potentially be a game I’ll replay, because I enjoy replaying it.
Destiny, although I play it, you are forced to replay the same basic segments over and over to do the normal campaign.

So basically choice vs. force. That is the tipping point for me.

I’ve enjoyed Destiny so far even though it certainly has had its flaws. That being said, so much of my time will go to Halo 5 now that it has been released. I will certainly move back to Destiny here and there, but at least for the foreseeable future, I will be consumed with Halo!

I like destiny’s gameplay, but Halo’s story and lore is what makes it better imo.

I liked Destiny but I prefer the Halo series.

I like destiny, but man, they make it easy to dislike them with the constant dance of loot vs nerf.

I got some hopes for Halo, we’ll see!
