> Destiny had no story but 1 mission Halo 5 is as much as the whole story in Destiny!!!
I think that is a ridiculous embellishment. Halo is an amazing story and it’s cannon lets you enjoy the games without further exploration. Destiny has a great story and provides great lore if you take the time to read its grimoire. I don’t like that aspect; however, it’s story is excellent
Halo is soooo much better than destiny where do you think they got that stuff from on destiny
Obviously I’d choose Halo but I do find Destiny fun to play even with it’s lack of content
Halo because of the better story and just sheer beauty aswell as the multiplayer.
Halo 5 will actually have a story
I’d have to say Halo’s story is so much better (destiny’s story was an incoherent mess unless you dug deep online to make sense of it). Destiny’s crucible can’t stand against Halo’s Mp either. At the same time I thought Destiny had good social properties. Id say Halo for Mp and Story bit Destiny for the social side of it.
Can somone please help me??? if i am banned on halo waypoint will that ban me from playing halo on xbox live or just ban me from the waypoint forums

I dont like Destiny, so Halo 5 will take Destiny for me at least
If I could only pick one than of course it would be Halo but I still really enjoy Destiny, it has solid gameplay, a decent amount of enemy variety and plenty of awesome weapons.
Yea I enjoy both Destiny and the Halo franchise (they both have their differences and are classed as different genres imo) I play both games for different reasons. I play halo for the competitive gameplay and Destiny for the social side of it.

> I don’t really consider them in the same ballpark. There are times where Destiny is the game to play, but there are times when Halo will scratch my itch to play. I played a ton of The Taken King but since I don’t know enough people who raid, I’ve reached my limit going solo.
Feel free to message me I raid regularly with friends, that goes for everyone.
Halo 5
I perfer Halo much more than Destiny, first off I’ll start on the AI. In Halo when I play on legendary the AI seems smart they flush me out with grenades and they flank me. But in Destiny they do the samething over and over and the bosses are a bullet sponge. As for multiplayer it’s just a mess in Destiny, almost every player is running around with shotguns/fusion rifles which doesn’t take much skill. And you can have a lmg/rpg in your loadout or a sniper along with supers. I actually thought that having supers and snipers/shotguns in the loadout was a good idea but I was wrong. In Halo it makes me appreciate the fact that I have to race for those weapons and they’re special for a reason. And if another team controls power weapons you will need skilled teamwork to beat them. Also when I hit rank 17 in Halo 2 classic multiplayer in MCC, it was easily the most competitive matches I ever had in any multiplayer game. Almost every team is organized and if my team didn’t have a mic. They were quick to understand on what everyone on the team was trying to do and we stayed on the same page.

> I love both games, but destiny has a lot going for it (and so does Halo) but the fact that you are a high ranking forum member dissing destiny sickens me, well let’s just say i’m not gonna let you get away that easy. (yes I realize this is a halo forum, but i’m gonna stand up for a game that I enjoy).FORGE IS AMAZING and I LOVE IT, and yes, because of that it will have endless capabilities. (which is awesome) but destiny is (mostly) a pve game. I have yet to see a good boss fight from halo since the scarab in H2 and H3. (let’s be honest, the Didact was killing ads to get to a cutscene that you have to push a few buttons) The raids in destiny is one, if not the best, parts of the game. They require precision timing and communication rather than most games out there that are I HAVE GUN… I MUST SHOOT. I’m not saying that destiny is not like that in its (sort of) campaign, but the raids still do it for me. In conclusion, I LOVE BOTH GAMES! and i don’t think you can actively compare the two games on the same scale.

I actually agree with you; I wasn’t looking to diss anything. You’re spot-on that Destiny is primarily PvE, and while I haven’t gotten to partake in all of the raids, the Vault of Glass and some of the House of Wolves missions are top-tier stuff. I’d love to see something like that get added to Halo – complex boss fights that require teamwork and coordination – and I do hope we see it in Halo 6, now that Halo 5 has laid the groundwork for working in a squad at all times. I don’t know if you count story as being part of PvE, but while Destiny’s story is incredibly weak, their lore is as brilliant as Halo’s, and it seems more flexible to me: it’s easy for me to conjure up my own story for my Guardians and their travels, but my Spartan can only ever be an S-IV recruit training in War Games simulations aboard the Infinity. So I like Destiny as a PvE game.
My problem with Destiny is just that it just loses its luster when you’re playing the same missions over and over, some for the twentieth time or more. When I start the Sepiks Prime strike, I can literally say the mission briefing in perfect unison with Lance Reddick. That’s where user-created content becomes a major strength: if Forge’s delayed launch doesn’t cause too many problems for the Custom Games community, we might see a never-ending stream of new and well-made content produced on a scale that no one game developer could ever match.
I like both games, but I like halo more
Not sure yet. Full disclosure, I enjoy Destiny quite a bit. I like the movement, the sound designs, the gunplay and the setting. I’m a sucker for a sci fi setting in our own solar system. Taken king addressed all of my complaints. Interested in Halo, will wait and see. Initial impression is meh. Not a fan of the clunky movements and animations in the videos i’ve seen, may just be my subconscious comparisons to Destiny. The movement is the whole reason I like that game. It feels right.
This is halo waypoint or destiny waypoint… What did you honestly expect? Pointless thread

We’ll make it work
It’s halo there’s really nothing more to be said. First theres the story halo wins hands down i love it as for destiny I have no idea what the story or is or if there really is one to be honest but to me that really doesn’t matter. Next let’s talk game play I have to say there both good but have to go with halo on this one it’s just much more solid I mean the beta alone was one of the best games I played I could play that and never get bored destiny on the other hand to me it’s not bad but I would have thought it would be better and I don’t why but I feel when you shoot it just feels cheap I don’t know how else to describe it. Now let’s talk weapons I will go with destiny just because they have so many to choose from but it’s pretty much the same guns, grenade, and rockets my reason for going with destiny is I just like how they look in destiny which for the most part the only reason I even play destiny so wit that being said I think destiny could be fun but for now I only play it for the looks and the fact I just love to play games no matter what. It’s halo
Just keep it random
