End of thread we can all go home now. This guy says all that has to be said about that garbage pile that Destiny is.
I played destiny, had the year one dlc with it, raids where fun but it doesn’t have the multiplayer like halo and the community was dying. Started to lose friends to play the raids, so that was a bummer. Halo always had that fun element for me.
I couldn’t get into Destiny. I tried. Got the season pass and all–not that it gets me all the DLC–but I didn’t have any friends with Xbox One when it came out. The game really begs to be played with friends. It can be fun solo; but I didn’t have much fun with it.
Destiny is basically just trying to fuel money. ie. the dlc’s that don’t add much to the game. Destiny is also just so repetitive, you do the same mission/ raid over and over to try and get one gun… and the other thing is your not guaranteed that gun its completely random. The taken king dlc made it even worse by reducing the amount of damage of guns and completely destroying the leveling system. If you spent days getting to a level, only to buy a dlc which renders that level useless… SO I prefer halo, there is way more replayability and an actual story. Who else is hyped for halo 5? letme take a guess… EVERYONE ON THIS SITE

Couldn’t agree more. Halo’s story is just so magical. They put an incredible amount of work into making sure the player is immersed in the story and lore.
First off this is very one-sided because this is in a Halo forum, but to answer your question Halo and Destiny both seem to be equal overall. Most of my friends play both Halo and Destiny religiously, and when Destiny was first announced I didn’t know what to expect. I was very tempted to play Destiny but I never got to it because it didn’t persuade me enough. I guess I’m too much of a Halo fan to try out other games.

> I think Halo 5’s going to offer more replay value to me just because we’ll be able to create our own experiences once Forge drops. Content creation really does add a lot to a game’s longevity, and Destiny doesn’t have any content creation to speak of.
I love both games, but destiny has a lot going for it (and so does Halo) but the fact that you are a high ranking forum member dissing destiny sickens me, well let’s just say i’m not gonna let you get away that easy. (yes I realize this is a halo forum, but i’m gonna stand up for a game that I enjoy).FORGE IS AMAZING and I LOVE IT, and yes, because of that it will have endless capabilities. (which is awesome) but destiny is (mostly) a pve game. I have yet to see a good boss fight from halo since the scarab in H2 and H3. (let’s be honest, the Didact was killing ads to get to a cutscene that you have to push a few buttons) The raids in destiny is one, if not the best, parts of the game. They require precision timing and communication rather than most games out there that are I HAVE GUN… I MUST SHOOT. I’m not saying that destiny is not like that in its (sort of) campaign, but the raids still do it for me. In conclusion, I LOVE BOTH GAMES! and i don’t think you can actively compare the two games on the same scale.
I can’t wait for H5, see ya on the battlefield.
I played destiny it got boring after the first month and now with halo 5 the story alone makes it better than destiny and lookin forward to the truth behind it all
Halo 5 hands down xD

fun for the first while then mindless grinding bordem
I choose Halo any day. I think Destiny is a great game, and I am glad to see Bungie doing what it wants. Destiny as it turns out just was not for me. Halo is my slice of pie. Easy to jump in with friends without really having to worry about weapons and armor, or fully relying on five other people and top notch teamwork to win a match.
halo 5 ftw
Halo, its the nostalgia factor for me!
Destiny is boring after a while because it’s repetitive, Halo is a masterpiece.
Well I have almost 2k hours logged on Destiny so if I can get 60 hours out of halo 5 I will be happy (If it’s as much fun as I hope I’ll hit 1k by just having fun in it)
Both are fun in different ways.
Destiny allows you to team up with friends to tackle raids and brag when you get all the items you want.
Halo is good when it comes to great stories and great multiplayer. I prefer Halo more, but both are great games.
Halo by far better
