HALO 5 vs Destiny

I think both games are great and they both have areas which make them better games. Halo has always had a great story mode and multiplayer whilst Destiny has an open world feel to the game which i personally like.

Destiny is fun to play, using supers is awesome!!! Its a very social game with the tower so finding a fireteam is fairly easy. It CAN NOT match Halo for content or story, not even close! Cant wait to play H5,4 plyr co-op on Legendary!!! Happy dayzzzzzzzzzzz

I like the PvE side of Destiny, I think it’s awesome, even though it’s not very deep and expansive. But Halo still beats it in both campaign and multiplayer!

Destiny was an epic fail. People got screwed over. And it has NO STORY. Halo does though. And we didn’t get screwed over

Your posting on a Halo website, of course people will say Halo over Destiny.
Edit: Destiny is a game with potential to be a competitor of Halo, but for now it isn’t.

Destiny is like a copy of halo but with another story

both our good but halo better

Destiny had so much wasted potential, and it just makes me sad to see how messed up the game is now. I could blame the game’s rather poor outcome on Activision if I wanted to, but it all comes down to Bungie in the end. They had a great idea, and they botched it. End of story.

Both have solid gameplay, Halo has a story though that I can figure out though

destiny what that never heard of it . Halo all day …

I truly enjoy destiny and think it is a good game but it has its flaws I worked my -Yoink- off to beat the hard mode of oryx so that way I can concentrate on halo 5 for at least most of the week and not get too far behind but halo has been with me longer so if I really had to chose it would for sure be halo

I play destiny a lot because I think it’s fun but when I get halo 5 I will be on that way more than destiny because it’s a new game and hopefully a new challenge

Destiny was a flop to me at launch, and I couldn’t be asked to stick around for the expansions to come out to let me enjoy what I ear is now a full game. It’s sad to see Bungie fall so far after creating and building, imo, the greatest gaming franchise of all time. They aren’t the same studio, and the universe of Destiny was extremely vague and couldn’t capture me like Combat Evolved did so long ago. Halo 5 is looking like it will have the best story in a Halo game ever with the new characters, features and plot premise. Halo 4’s campaign was its strongest point and I’m interested to see what 343 brings to the table with their sequel.

Halo 5 isnt even out yet

I’ll be honest, I have sank over 800 hours into Destiny. Yes, you read that correctly, 800. Only now have I been disillusioned and realized that Destiny is like crack. After being disappointed with The Taken King, I decided to pick up MCC again for the first time in months. I was refreshed by the story, and the classic gameplay. The multiplayer felt balanced. I loaded up halo channel, and listened to all of the hunt the truth podcasts in one long binge session. I spent some time on the halo wiki learning more about the lore. I noticed things in the campaigns that I didn’t before because the last time I played the campaigns of halo 1, 2, and 3 I was very young. The halo universe rewards people who actually take the time to learn more about it. I wish I had spent those 800 hours with halo instead. Destiny leaves the player with nothing. No in-game story, cryptic grimoire cards, crap RNG (the RNG of REQ packs remains to be seen), and an endless grind finally broke the spell. The game feels like a chore to play, demanding daily play time in order to keep up with all the elitist LFG people who want 100000 light guardians only. Anyone who has invested time into destiny knows what I’m talking about. I’m so happy that I’ve rediscovered my favorite shooter again, and Destiny will be removed from my hard drive come October 29th (that’s when my halo 5 limited edition will be arriving). Jeez, I sound like someone coming out of rehab huh? DON’T PLAY DESTINY.

Halo is the way to go, at least that’s my personal opinion.

Bungie made a great game called HALO. Bungie also made a great game called Destiny. Destiny is more for the players who want to act as a team to fight against extremely powerful enemies (raids) and the pvp [while not as balanced(titans i’m talking to you)] is still extremely fun. You just can’t beat the arena gameplay of halo though. Honestly i don’t think you can compare the two. They have extremely different game dynamics (I have yet to see a good boss fight from halo since the scarab in H2). I still love and play both.

If there were a game with as much innovation and customization as destiny and also had the halo lore the universe would explode. But to answer your question i would rather play halo just because ive been a fan since day one.

> Seems a little harsh to me. Destiny’s been in the works since ODST and it’s obviously something that Bungie’s been passionate about. Almost from launch day, it was clear that there were major internal issues that disrupted the game’s development.

But he has a point, Joseph had a great story in place but Bungie AND Activision decided it wasn’t the best thing so they split it up as DLC and released an unfinished game and asked people for money.

To say the game is even good is a long shot, story is bland, gameplay is garbage without friends and the gear is bull.

Halo 5 has my vote because John, Blue Team, Forge and all that, Halo has great story and structure to its core.

Weapons are numerous throughout and still growing as well as the story, what does Destiny have? Nothing.

one more thing is that when playing halo you don’t need dlc to play.Lile destiny needs you to have dlc to continue playing campaign and some multiplayer games
