This isn’t even a contest Halo for sure of course. Also no one here would admit it if they liked destiny more. Halo has a more in depth story it’s better in many ways. Also not really into MMOs so that was a pretty big let down for me with destiny.

I liked the gameplay of destiny, the loot, the enemy’s and the wonders but I crave a good story and halos gameplay is solid pretty much anyone can quickly learn to play halo and if you invest in the story outside of the games its fascinating to explore.
So on a halo forum, Halo 5 vs Destiny its got to be Halo, like this was my childhood game first game I ever played on the original Xbox.
Halo is far better in my opinion. I’ve played destiny and it just doesn’t stack up

They’re two very different animals, I think it all depends on the experience yeah destiny’s missing a lot of what Halo offers. Private matches, a more present story, and I was really suprised that Bungie had no plans to add any sort of machinima support or anything similar to forge given halos legacy of player creativity. That said I’ve had experienced things in Destiny I won’t see in any other titles. Going into the raids blind with five friends is an awesome experience. The frustration of smashing against a boss trying to piece together his mechanics. The satisfaction of solving a puzzle leading to hidden goodies. And the war cries of your fireteam as you down the the last boss. I raided day one for both Vault of Glass and Kings Fall and it was amazing. The raids are where destiny shines, the worst thing about them is that the rest of the game can’t reach that highpoint. Also just throwing this out there but that crappy system for lore is bs, no one should have to go online just to learn why the people they’re fighting are “teh bad bois”. The fact is made even worse when you read through that lore and realise it’s really good! I’m often downright aggrivated that there isn’t at least some in game system for it.
Year two Destiny is a huge improvement over its predecessor. I’ve been rooting for destiny since the beginning and i found the taken king story quite enjoyable. In the end though it’s gotten to be old hat. All the weapons and gear I worked for are now useless and now I get to grind for new gear. No thank you.

Halo 5 by far, Destiny was a huge disappointment imo…so much cut content.

I’ll let you know after I finally get to play halo lol. But destiny has been out for a while now and is getting a little boring but not any less fun.

I have to agree with him that’s one of my main issues with destiny plus its based on what kind of gear you have not what skill you have and for old halo players going to destiny and coming back to halo it’ll be a wee bit of a struggle getting back in the saddle.
