I am not denying that there might be flyable vehicles in campaign. Halo 4 had the Pelican and Broadsword so I would be surprised if we didn’t get to fly one in campaign. But I was referring to the multiplayer sandbox. I am going to take 343i word that there will be no UNSC aircraft at launch because generally they don’t rule things out like that, especially if they know it could upset people, if they aren’t sure. Normally they would play it safe and dodge the question.

Warzone was first described as encompassing the entire Halo sandbox so if it is a usable multiplayer vehicle then it should be in their.

As for the two aircraft in the image, firstly the Pelicans are how you usually will enter a Wazone match and secondly this was taken very early in development as a test map (Explained here). Also the image to the left is quite unclear.

As I said before, hopefully they add a UNSC aircraft later on.

ODST didn’t even have forge, customs, or multiplayer. It had campaign and Firefight which was co-op
Halo 3 Mythic 2 DLC which came with ODST was Halo 3 not ODST

It certainly seems that way since barely seen any new vehicles, well plenty of missing vehicles too.

To be fair to the OP, this is a next-gen game. 343 is boasting large scale battles with this warzone gametype, and one would expect a more varied set of vehicles than previous games.

Halo reach had the sabre, pelican, and phantom in the campaign along with a lot of civilian vehicles, and how could you forget the legendary forklift?

A UNSC flying vehicle would be cool to see in the MP, sure some nostalgia may have inspired this, but the previous UNSC flying vehicles were really fun to use. I loved the falcon because it was deadly if the teamwork was there.

That being said, I’m sure halo 5 will have the most vehicles to date, 343 has mentioned there being vehicle variation/customization via req packs for warzone(please be a flamethrower warthog). I just hope we can use these vehicles in forge/customs, same for the multiple warzone weapons.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnn, I just want the Chopper back! That -Yoink- was DOPE!!!

Yes yes it did…

It came with ODST, if you bought ODST you got it therefore its on ODST

if your going to say a game which shipped with multiplayer doesnt have multiplayer then thats your fault and your wrong because ODST did come with multiplayer and those things.

You were at first saying that there would be no UNSC air vehicles at launch, this suggests that you meant the game in general would not have any human air vehicles at all which just wont be true.

I guess though it just seems odd hed say ‘not in warzone’ that kind of suggests itll be in campaign, forge, customs and or areana

You do drop in from a pelican yes, but the way its positioned looks like it was meant to be boarded and flew by someone

the image to the left is unclear but you can make out wings, engines and what seem to be landing gear so its quite likely that its an aircraft possibly some UNSC fast attack or ground attack craft

I did not mention Campaign initially because I was talking about the multiplayer sandbox as a whole.
I am pretty sure Halo 5 will follow its predecessors and include flyable UNSC vehicles exclusive to campaign (ie Sabre in Reach, Pelican & Broadsword in H4), but this has nothing to do with multiplayer which is what this whole thing was about.

343i have stated it won’t be in Warzone at launch because the question they were asked was in relation to Warzone. And regardless, Warzone encompasses the entire multiplayer sandbox according to 343i. So if it can’t fit in on a massive game mode like that, why would it be present in BTB or Forge. Again it maybe a Campaign exclusive, but that is not my point.

As I pointed out to you in the other thread I am not going to trust an image that 343i has stated was from very early on in development when more recent information from them states otherwise. The image may represent an unknown UNSC vehicle, but it may not necessarily be a flying vehicle (it could be a UNSC hover vehicle like the ghost for example). Also there is no guarantee that even if it was a flying vehicle that it would be present in the game at launch. For example the image you provided shows the initial concept of the three tiered base reactors which was also cut from the game, presumably with numerous other ideas that were thought up throughout Warzone’s very long development.

While I do hope more vehicles are released after launch, and would be happy to be conclusively proven wrong about them being in the game at launch, I am going to stick with the most recent information that we have- that there is no UNSC air vehicles playable in multiplayer so far.

The thing is, up until Reach there was a blatant pattern of an increased amount of vehicles in each subsequent instalment of the game, obviously due to the progression in technology allowing game designers to achieve more. So, when it came to Reach, because every other aspect of the game had been scaled up from the previous iteration, I felt like the amount of vehicles present in the game was severely lacking. What was great in 2007 just didn’t impress me in 2010, and in 2012 I was borderline annoyed by it. When it comes to Halo, I feel like a massive variety of vehicles could only improve the game, and it’s not like there’s any evidence to indicate otherwise, so why haven’t they tried it? It just comes across as laziness, or maybe even pretentiousness. Just because they’re happy with ten vehicles doesn’t mean their customers are.

You do realize there’s also vehicle variants right? It will be the same as weapons, a whole lot of them. And besides, we may still have some surprises left.

Two things to keep in mind however are that they stated they might consider adding more vehicles post launch and that each vehicle has many variants which include cosmetic and game play altering differences. So far it these variants are in Warzone and Campaign but they also maybe in BTB.

But I was referring to the multiplayer sandbox. I am going to take 343i word that there will be no UNSC aircraft at launch because generally they don’t rule things out like that, especially if they know it could upset people, if they aren’t sure. Normally they would play it safe and dodge the question.

By that logic because later editions of Halo 2 had DLC that came with it, each of those editions add in the DLC content and the original Halo 2 content, so there’s a lot more maps than previously thought then. And crackdown also had the Halo 3 beta that came with it so does that mean that Crackdown itself has Halo 3 as a part of its game?

So, when it came to Reach, because every other aspect of the game had been scaled up from the previous iteration, I felt like the amount of vehicles present in the game was severely lacking. What was great in 2007 just didn’t impress me in 2010, and when it came to 2012 it borderline annoyed me. When it comes to Halo, I feel like a massive variety of vehicles could only improve the game, and it’s not like they’ve performed tests or anything to indicate otherwise. Just because they’re happy with ten vehicles doesn’t mean their customers are.

> You do realize there’s also vehicle variants right? It will be the same as weapons, a whole lot of them. And besides, we may still have some surprises left.

I don’t understand why they won’t just include every vehicle there’s ever been. It just seems like they’re purposely holding back from creating a great game.

I’m almost scared to see more vehicles because they might be promethean

I thought the promethean sandbox couldn’t get more unnecessary, redundant & uninspired until I saw the Phaeton.

If the vehicles are anything like they have been in recent games then it won’t matter how many there are because they’ll just blow up from someone looking at them the wrong way or the wind blowing too hard on them.

You have just proven that some people invent reasons to hate on Halo 5. You are my new religion.

Am I the only one that is satisfied with what they have shown so far? I mean, I’m sure they will bring more things into the fray, as they have already said once before. Why are people making demands?

Because we are the Halo Nation! The greatest video game community in the world!

especially when MOST if not all will have different variants and specs to accompany them

Pff I do this all the time on here. Breaking down the arguments using facts is very very fun.

Yes, I’m sure you’re being facetious and sarcastic here, but I’m serious. Why does everyone make demands? Why do people think that they will listen to you DEMANDING, and not just making a suggestion, or asking a question?
