After calling into Xbox support, they recommended I come here for help. I attempted to download the latest update for Halo 5 Guardians which failed. After a number of attempts, it did not update. I attempted to restart my Xbox One to see if that would help the install. Upon launching the game, there was no prompt for an update, there was nothing in the queue to download. I left it on for a couple hours in hopes that it would download the update.
When I came back, I launched the game which did not have any prompts for updates. I went to launch Multiplayer, both Arena and Warzone, and was prompted, “Could not find a server that was suitable for all members of your fireteam.” I am the only one in the lobby fireteam…
After talking with Xbox Support, they had me unplug the power for 10 seconds and power back on. Once the Xbox was back to launch the game. Nothing had changed. After a couple minutes on hold, they said that I should come to the forums on Halo Waypoint to get assistance. Almost sounded like a lazy way out but not sure if they are to really help with game support…
I currently do not know what to do now. On the main menu of the game in the upper right corner, it says 76333 which is, I’m guessing, the version of the game. I don’t remember what it was before so I don’t know if the update changed that or not. There is no settings to download the update or check for the update nor anything in the Store to download for the update. I assume without the update, I am unable to play any Multiplayer…
I had the similar issue when pre-loading the game, turned out to be an issue with the dns my ISP uses to connect to xbox. I changed my Dns to the google one.
Yeah there’s some serious bugs in this game so far I’ve lost my Fotus armor and war zone reqs from buying the console with a big ohwell from Microsoft as my answer.
Reset your Default MAC address in the network settings. If it doesnt work…
Try assigning your console a MAC address that youve taken from another internet capable device like a phone or computer. (make sure to assign that device a new one aswell.) If that doesnt work…
Try connecting your xbox directly to your modem via ethernet. If that does work but you need wifi capable…
Port Forward your router for halo.
Those all helped me recently with issues like this.
Reboot your modem. Unplug your Xbox One til the power cycles down ( just wait 30 seconds ) then try it again. I had no issues with the update. Hopefully this helps you.
After 2 days here’s the only thing that worked for me and I’ve seen others post the same:
Clear your local game data (synced) - Delete your profile/account from your Xbox - Clear your cache (hold the power button until it turns off) - Unplug your Xbox for 30 seconds - Plug back in, start your Xbox and log back in with your account.
It is not a network issue. I am streaming Netflix on the Xbox right now. Within network settings, NAT Type is “Open” with “All Services are Available”.

When I couldn’t download the pre-load all my other services worked also, the only thing that wouldn’t work was downloading specifically from the xbox. Go into setting DNS and change it to the google one 8.8.8.8 I think it is. Its easy to do and takes a few seconds. Worth a try like I said you seem to be having the same Issue I had.

It still can be the problem. I had an OPEN NAT, could connect to xbox live and stream from it, yet couldnt play halo 5 until i assigned my console a new mac address.

Only reason I don’t is because it bypass’s my ISP plans unmetered xbox downloads. So watch out for things like that.
Deleting all game files entirely from Xbox One and redownloading (downloaded version).
Clearing local game cache.
I am the only one in my party. Version still states 76333 on the main menu in the upper right corner. I see Big Team Battle in the Arena playlist, but all playlists in Arena and Warzone still state, “Could not find a server that was suitable for all members of your fireteam”.
I got it to work again! What I did does not make any sense. So I unplugged my wired connection and used the wireless connection. That got rid of the error message and allowed me to play a multiplayer game. When I plugged in my wired connection again, the error was gone!
Thank you all for your suggestions. I’ll see you online!
