Halo 5 UI is just terrible

This UI should have been fixed since the forge update. How can the UI from reach, a game which came out 6 years ago be better?
Halo 5’s is just so lazy.

In reach in a matter of seconds you could see;
-how many people were in your game
-What their emblem was
-What their Gamer tag was
-what they looked like
-what their armour completition was
-what their rank was
-how many challenges they completed
-See who were in the same party as each other
All of that in just a matter of seconds

Now lets look at halo 5
In a matter of seconds you can see;
-How many people are in your game
-What their emblem is
That’s it.

Are you kidding me 343?
This UI needs a major change. It’s 2016 and the xbox one is more powerful than the 360, yet a game that came out 6 years ago has a better UI? Come on

Agreed… there are whole forum posts i have seen with what is wrong with halo 5 and halo 5’s UI. I won’t get into it here but the UI is in serious need of updates. Still can’t speak to people in your lobby unless it’s intermission after a match or once the dedicated servers start. Oh and i would love to see emblems on armors again.

I feel like H5G and TMCC should have been on game preview or should be right now with pending ratings. :sleepy:…HALO has prerequisites that have not been met. The job has been done so poorly they should kind of be free but I paid because I love halo and Xbox live. But both are doing sort of bad right now.

It is. The pre game lobbies are laughably basic, no gamertags, no individual mute option, no service record view option, no Spartan view option. Nothing… Except emblems… and a mute all.

Agree 10000% reach was better at yet another thing.

Agreed. I see no use for the stances.

Just gonna leave this with you…

Ya Reach was pretty awesome in all aspects.

If you’re talking about your fireteam lobby, then no, you’re wrong.

If you’re talking about the pre-game lobby, isn’t all this a response to people easily dodging out of games in MCC because of how much they can see, most importantly certain people?

People dodging out of games for how much they can see. Care to elaborate?

MCC’s pregame lobby was closer to Halo Reach’s than Halo 5 was. Out of OP’s list, you have:

  • Gamertag
  • Emblem (especially since it was based on achievement)
  • Number of players
  • Rank (when applicable)If you didn’t like a certain person, gametype, or map, you were capable of either quitting the build, or leaving multiplayer through party (YouTube) and save your reputation and W/L record with zero penalty.

Mix that with the “wonderful” late ranks where 22s can match 49s, high levels dodge because they know they’re going to lose their rank to lower levels and lower levels dodge because they know they’re going to lose to higher levels.

So I’m guessing 343i retaliated by not allowing you to see the gamertag (so you don’t end up leaving because you see a person you don’t like until you’re in-game), and not allowing you to vote pick (among other reasons), while trying to enforce the W/L ratio further in Halo 5.

That’s a pretty horrible conclusion on their part, because ranking in MCC never paired you with people in your skill ranking, of course you’re going to get dodgers who don’t want too get slaughtered.

MCC never matched you with people in your skill ranking, but people ended up cheating the system to get to an easy 50 anyway. It ended up being broken in both directions and ranks were double worthless.

I’m not claiming this as fact, it’s just my observation.
