Nothing in all trailers resemblance the actual game. HOWEVER, on the very first teaser, he was alone and walking around to a Guardian right in front of it. Yet, the shockwave did not effect him. Is it to be that Guardians can not attack their owner? Maybe Chief is finding other Guardians to go against Cortana. And when he held out Cortana’s chip, maybe it was not to bring her back, but to be a sign of bringing the fight to HER. :OOO WITH HIS OWN GUARDIANS! Hints of my theory: Chief’s face is still smashed by Locke. So, it has not been repaired. He was never alone nor on another planet besides Genesis, the shockwave did not effect Chief, he seems to be using the cloak to possibly use it to hide under his armor without being scanned by Cortana, looks at Cortana’s chip as in he is making a life discision.
Another hint of my theory is the “Believe” trailer what what Chief and Locke believe and the last mission in the game of what Cortana says. Chief says “Protecting humanity whatever the cost” and i"With great threats come great sacrifice". This either means he will sacrifice Cortana as she gone koo koo. Locke says “I believe in protecting humanity” and “I believe in taking down a traitor”. As we know, Chief only went AWOL and was to just turn him in. Not take him down. However, Cortana is the one that killed a lot of humans and started the first strike against everything; as SHE is as the traitor.
OH! Not to mention the fact that in the Halo 5 teaser, the Guardian was a different color…Yellow. As for the game, they were all Blue. And in Halo 4, the Knights started as Blue but then turned to Yellow because of the revival of the Didact thing, their leader…
^ This was all made like weeks ago. I just didn’t have an idea what to do with it.
But on this paragraph is what im saying now: The trailers for Halo 5 are just hints on what really happens in Halo 6. Chief and Locke are going to prob likely go against each other. But maybe not the way WE see it. Likely Chief will keep telling himself “There must be some other way! We cant do this! I dont wannnnnaaaa kill Cortana and her awesome robot Guardians!” and Locke be like “Chief, focus you dumb clank! You are a machine Spartan II! You do what you were supposed to do because I told you so and destroy Cortana!” sincerly, Cortana is the traitor. It never said Chief was. Everything that said about Locke and Chief was about their different opinions on how to do things. Obviously…Chief wants to play passive and try to ‘Stop’ Cortana. While Locke wants to go aggressive and neutralize Cortana and these two are just goin ham with Words as they fight. I dont know…maybe like Cortana can control Chief’s armor or make him do his bidding with some sort of…AI domain special powers and THEN Chief and Locke fight.
But what im really trying to say is…Locke is referring Cortana as the traitor…as the hunted or from the ‘Unofficial story’ trailer, he is said as pointing to the Guardians and not hunting Chief…you know…when he Locke said “Let’s hunt EM down!” and boom. And in the ‘Truth’ trailer, Locke says stuff on and on about traitors. And so far, Chief didnt do anything that made him a traitor. However, Cortana did. Also, Chief is said in the “Truth” trailer again when he says “Spartans were a weapon of last resort” and so Chief talking to Cortana instead of trying to tame her is not his Spartan like. And now in Hlao 6, he goin on Spartan mode and bout to beast through things. And not to forget the other quote “Spartan never die. But equipment can be retired” im sure equipment is referred to Cortana as so why she is so offended by that word. Obviously some of these trailers are made for the future.
Oh yeah. And the…uhm…first teaser of the Guardian is yellow and different yellow skin look. And in Halo 4, the promethean were blue when they controlled by women- I mean Cortana. While the prometheans turned yellow when the men- Didact took over. But genders have nothing to do with this. Maybe it was acted as if they were different controllers. And Chief is looking for other Guardians to control…which are the yellow ones.
In that said, this prob doesnt make sense somewhere like the one “Locke/Chief pointing a gun at each other” trailer prob means nothing and totally exaggeration. Amarite?
