Halo 5 - the worst matchmaking

I use Focused search for matchmaking. From month or two almost every game i face against two to three Ranks above my team. I’m silver on SWAT and every game i fight against Dimond, Platinum even Onyx and Champions.I need to mention that - usually the highest ranks is Platinum 1 and is the only one from entire My team.
I’m wrealy pised of from that broken matchmaking. What the hell doing Champion or Onyx against entire silver team?

You think that’s bad? I played against champion 6 and champion 20 something the other day in team doubles. I’m Diamond… and we lost, surprise surprise.

But for the most part the matchmaking/ranking system in Halo is excellent, way better than any other game I’ve played.

In doubles, i have the same experience. We was two random unranked against Team Champ 41 and Onyx 14…
But 343 don’t give a s…t for our problems.

Once you are ranked it would be a cool feature to see what rank range you (should) are restricted too.
Gold players could only play against silver through platinum or something like that.
parties of different ranks should only play against other parties.
Just my thoughts as the ranking has been wonky and only worse as less people play.

The only problem with that is that you may not be able to find a game at quiet times. I’d rather have a game against a much higher rank than not play at all. To be honest I learnt a lot from it, it’s good to see how higher skilled players play the game.

You do realize part of using the Focused search is not only to help you with competitive matches, but also to help you improve, right?

What are you talking about? Focused is just search parameter settings. It defines the range of ranks you’ll match and the connection settings.

Its not just halo 5 in mcc I’m a lv 6 in H2a and I got matched up against 3 lv 50s

Ok,it’s competitive. But when you definitely loose because you pay against high skilled players and constantly play death, just because the matchmaking is wrong?
Like I said - i use Focused search just because I want to play against people who are maximum one level above me and have close to my skills. And the game still be competitive.

When i beat someone who is ranked level above me - i definitely consider match for competitive and definitely that improve my skills. But when I died twenty times from someone who is three Ranks above, definitely i don’t feel competitive and i don’t feel improvement.

One of the many things that need to be fixed.
