Halo 5: The Guardians Of The Obvious Lines

Because most lines of the OSIRIS team are too obvious?

I mean, I listen to the lines of several spartans and they’re just telling me what I’m already seeing and playing on the screen, they really do not contribute anything to the narrative of the game.

Do you think this will continue in future deliveries?

Pd: I do not seek to make more hate towards 343i, this is a criticism of my perspective as a player.

I liked their dialogue. It made the game feel more realistic, and for anyone who bothers to pay attention to what they’re saying, they actually do say a lot to get players up to speed who haven’t read any of the books or comics. Also, it was nice hearing them talk with you, as opposed to the first 3 Halo games, where instead npc’s talk to you.

So I don’t think it’s a criticism. But that’s just my opinion. I don’t know if most players agree with me.
( o.o)

Didn’t really mind it too much. Would have preferred dialouge from each member that tailored to something they were skilled with. Tanake with her engineering background (maybe vehicle weak points, anything destructible on the map?), Vale with the Sangheili language (inscriptions on Sanghelios, translate radio conversations from enemy Elites [maybe the Covenant could still speak alien languages?]). Buck kinda only was there for fan service, so his contributions are a bit lacking as far as specifics. Got few complaints with the things Locke had to say.

I highly doubt it will continue in future games since the unqualified person (trying to be somewhat nice to someone who really doesn’t deserve it) who was in charge of 5’s narrative thankfully no longer works at 343i.
