Halo 5, The Good and The Bad

So I’m gonna say this flat out I love Halo, but this game was short and lacking alot of things that made old halo games in the past good.
The Good:

  • The combat was great, it was fun, the visuals were amazing.
  • Multiplayer is aweeesoooommee
    The BAD:
  • Why should I give two -Yoink- who Locke is? 80 percent of this game was Locke and like 3 missions were Chief, did I buy this game for Locke? Did others Truly buy this game for LOCKE? No.
  • The SHORTEST halo game ever!!!
  • A cliff hanger that this game didn’t work for to build up to it due to its lack luster story and campaign.
  • A lot of the mission areas felt the same ,it lacked color , non memorable like past halo games.
  • During the marketing trailers, they advertised epic clashing between Chief and Locke, like if one of them was going to die. None of that happen or even looked remotely close to those trailers of either spartan laying on the floor almost dead with one of the other going to finish them off.
  • NO SPLIT-SCREEN, like are you serious, split-screen made halo HALO. Dont even get me started on the PR -Yoink- that was given to us as to why that wasn’t in there.
“Its hard to get another person to play with you in our busy lives.” is basically the excuse that was given to us, oh and that we should buy another xboxone/gold and game copy for our beloved friends.
  • Story could’ve been more but failed short.

I love halo, and this was fun, but not the game i was hoping for, it fell too short on many other aspects.

Look at Angryjoe’s review to cover most of my other opinions I agree with him: Halo 5: Guardians Angry Review - YouTube

This is the second most disappointing Halo (Halo Wars being the first). If I wanted to play a CoD variant, I’d go buy one of their disappointing games instead. I lone wolfed, I’ll get what achievements interest me, and then probably not play it again.

I agree with your points and most people seem to be saying the same thing.

Which is great because in Halo 4 peoples opinions were all over the place!

I just put it like this now:
The Good: The multiplayer
The Bad: The Campaign

Don’t exactly know what you were expecting but okay.

Everything here is true. I thought the campaign was fun but as a whole it was lame!
I almost feel tricked by Microsoft and 343i with all their misleading ads
Remember when Josh Holmes said this: “There’s a part in the game where I have teared up,” Holmes admitted. “And I have subsequently been ridiculed for it.”
Where the fack did he cry?
I love Halo 5 but don’t trick us into think this will be “an emotional journey” and “The darkest halo yet” smh…

The story was not good at all. It should have been about discovering more about what the Halo universe is really all about (Forerunners, Humans/Ancient Humans/The Mantle etc) but what we got (Evil Cortana and the “Hunt” between Chief and Locke) just stalled the whole story arc from moving forward and developing even more into a deeper story.
