Hey everyone, I don’t want to attract any negative attention, but I feel like this is an issue that needs to be brought to the table. The Halo community is diminishing in numbers. The reason I say this is because, compared to games like (I dare mention it) Call of Duty, this game has a much smaller fanbase.
Of course, Halo can’t be compared to Call of Duty, but you have to take into account the excessive amount of gamers who are attracted to those games. There was a time when hundreds of thousands of people played Halo 3. Why not try boosting Halo’s fanbase back to what it was before?
This would require a lot of effort not only on 343i’s behalf, but our own. I’m suggesting promotions like those that came with the release of Halo 4, but I’m also looking for opinions and suggestions from the Waypoint community. I’m also really new to this, so I apologize in advance if this topic was already brought up.
I knew Halo 4’s population was decreasing, but I didn’t know it was the Halo community as a whole. Is this true? Does anyone have some stats I could see?
Halo will never attract as large of a crowd as CoD does.
I think that Halo shouldn’t try to beat CoD at CoD’s game. CoD does CoD best; Halo does Halo best. Halo 4 failed player-retention wise because it tried to cater to a population that doesn’t exist: players who want the ease of CoD gameplay incorporated into Halo gameplay.
Let CoD be CoD, and let the millions of Halo fans have their Halo.
I have pretty solid faith 343i will deliver with 5,6 and whatever else may come.
Actually, not only to boost halo 5 sales and get people excited for it, but to boost xbox one sales too, the best thing to do might be to make Halo 2 Anniversary. If you want to know why I think so, read my forum:

I think that Halo is going shrink, I think Halo 5 will be better than Halo 4, but due to the fact that the PS4 is probably going to dominate the Xbox One, I think Halo 5 will only sell 6-7 million copies.
