343 said Halo 6 will have splitscreen and system link,then why not make Halo 5 system link at least if splitscreen is not possible to add.I know that a lot of xbox 360 games had the option to connect your consoles with system link and were playable offline.There is a Wikipedia on all xbox 360 games that support system link and there are a lot of them including all Halo games on 360.I heard that Gears of War 4 supports system link offline play and that’s awesome.I think all xbox exclusive games should support this like Halo,Gears,Forza.Now that Halo 6 will have it i hope Halo 5 will get updated to also have system link ability so we can connect multiple xbox one-s and play offline Campaign and Multiplayer together in same house.Because imo Halo 5 Campaign is perfect for that as there are 4 playable Characters all the time and Halo 6 will probably have just 1 playable like all the previous Halo games.If not possible on xbox one(s) than at least for xbox one x.

System link isn’t supported either. It’s very reminiscent of '90s game consoles where you had to use a physical cable to connect two consoles together for certain games, like the original Playstation.
But Gears of War 4 has it I thought?
It’s way too much work this late into H5’s lifecycle… Split-screen isn’t feasible with the 60fps bar they’ve set… it’d probably be a coding nightmare…
There are just too many con’s for too little pro’s at this point. It’s not worth it…

But Halo 5 doesn’t. Even if the game did support it, that would call for a huge update. And when it’s all said and done, the effects will be underwhelming at best, and terrible at worst. It’s not even a viable option now.

On 360 you could play 4 people on 2 consoles with splitscreen on each tv or monitor and now 10 years later we can’t have that on better consoles?YES WE CAN!!!
