Halo 5 strategies

In Halo 5, what kind of strategies do you use? It can be from any gamemode of your choosing. It also doesn’t have to be a killing strategy it could be a strategy for like the best way to capture a flag or something like that.

Learn the to play with a Team, regardless if you guys lose or win.

At the end of the day, the team (or your friends) will learn the simple value of Teamwork. It will take you a long way …

I try to be stealthy as I move into another area as to not give myself away. Should I be discovered however, I’ll become aggressive so I can kill all of my opponents as quickly as possible before they kill me first.

My playstyle is bizarre. I feel like it would be extremely irritating to play against.

It revolves around trick jumps and using weird spots to get the jump on the enemy. I will stay pretty still for up to 30 seconds, and then dash at top speed to a different location or to seize a power weapon. I’m ranked low-to-mid Gold across the board, and I make use of a variety of high level tactics (timing power ups and trick jumping). I use powerful but underrated weapon combos to wreak havoc on my opponents. I like to attack my enemies from angles which they will never expect. It is very satisfying to jump out behind someone when they thought you were in front of them.

Kill more, die less and get angry when that doesn’t work. Also I tend to stay on the edges of maps vs go through the middle

I play fast. I try to play around an area and pull multiple jumps to evade and be annoying in general. There are few maps that I will play differently.

As for obj types…

CTF - run that flag as fast as humanly possible
SH - Play around the two strongholds I have and take pot shots at people.

We should play together sometime. You sound like me in a nutshell. But you are right, it is irritating to play against, especially if you can’t keep up with people

Well, after getting pretty well destroyed this afternoon playing Shotty Snipers, I think my strategy is to react slow, ignore my teammates, and generally get killed frequently.

So I’m not sure anyone would want to take advice from me.

Here’s my strategy:

  • Acquire a huge req collection - Play enough firefight to learn what the best req for each round is - Use whatever those reqs are. When transitioning from one vehicle to another, leave the old one somewhere where a teammate can get itAlternative strategy:

  • Equip Grenadier armor mod - Call in Gungoose and throw grenades for the whole match for -Yoink- and giggles

Avoid face to face engagements, pick off enemies unexpectedly.

I’ve spent 17 years of Halo building my entire game around the concept that a kill is not worth the risk of death. In a game that’s designed to force movement and engagement at all times this strategy has proved to be a miserable failure. This is not a game where you can avoid death (except in Halo 4 with active camo) and so now I mostly stick to Reach firefight. That’s about the only place in Halo that offers reward without risk.
