So I read recently that 343i has no intentions of releasing any new DLC for Halo’s story (upcoming maps, Forge, and BTB have already been confirmed as free). Does this disappoint anyone else? I personally love Halo for the story (I own every book, except the Forerunner trilogy books 2 & 3), and even though Spartan Ops wasn’t as good as it could have been, I still enjoyed it. Were they to release new missions as DLC, I would buy them in a heartbeat. The ending left much to be desired, even for what was given (almost as though the ending cutscenes were cut too short before the character interaction we all wanted to see).
So with that put out there, what do you think is/should be next? Will the story continue in Halo: Escalation? Do we have to wait for another, yet to be announced, book? Or will there be anything until the next Halo that tells the story of Chief, Locke, Cortana, Halsey, Palmer, etc? And does anyone else want to see more poetry from the Sangheili who s infatuated with Sarah Palmer?
