Halo 5 Story: Very Diappointing (Spoilers Ahead!)

There’s a lot to complain about, but I’ll keep it short. I know people have talked about it before, but this is important to me and I’d like to make some noise.
Halo 5 had no emotion, one-dimensional characters, and a typical plot line.
Halo 4 and all these trailers and ads leading up to H5G seemed to imply that we would be getting another emotional story about the human side of the Master Chief. I was excited to see the effects of total militaristic institutionalization on the behavior and humanity of Blue Team. I was excited to see the emotional aftermath of the death of Cortana for the Chief.
What we got instead was big explosions and cool gunfights. I’m all for that, and it would be ok if Halo 4 didn’t have an emotional story line. But they took that story and just ignored it. We get 3 missions as MC, which would be ok if Locke were even a little bit interesting. The times we did get to see Chief, he was his typical stoic self. He got two lines of emotional dialogue “like hell she is” and “like halsey did to me?”.
I really hope this doesn’t become a trend. I’ve been playing since CE came out, and I really don’t want the story to turn to crap.
