Halo 5 story questions

I have a couple questions/thoughts regarding the campaign and just wonder if anyone has any explanations.

First off, I loved the campaign. The gameplay and pacing were very well thought out in my opinion and I did enjoy the story. Having few Blue team missions was a little disappointing, but I thought it was handled great. My one major gripe is that they didn’t pursue the whole ONI=evil plot line that I thought they were trying to build up from hunt the truth.

one question I have that seems to have been glossed over is how Blue team and Osiris made it off Genesis. I know they could have found a pelican but I doubt they would be able to make the trek from Genesis to Sanghelios in a pelican, let alone find their way from Genesis.

Also just wondering how they traveled on the Guardians. Was there a room or were they just sort of on the Guardian.

Any thoughts/theories would be welcome.

From my understanding of the lore: Guardians and all other things that travel through slipspace just rip a bubble in space time, meaning anything in the bubble also can get pulled in. In Halo 2 part of a city was pulled in by a cov ship, Halo 3 not all of a ship makes it into the rip so half gets left behind, Halo 4 Chief uses a small ship to leach onto a large ship to be protected by its shields through the rip, and I’m sure the books have other examples. So I guess the guardians shields extend off allowing Osiris safe travel.

I assume they got out because the monitor of Genesis likes humans/gained control again. She/It just opened them a portal and used one of the pelicans she found (I mean she found/gives you a tank).

Also where are people getting this sudden shift in ONI being evil? They have always been that evil all powerful government organization like idea, CIA or NSA but on the level of interstellar. Just look at the Spartan II program; kidnapped children replacing them with clones who die early (instead of wondering what happened parents watch a child die), then they raised the children in a way that even real life Spartan children would be shocked at, and then they are basically physically tortured (many dieing) during the augmentation process. After a lifetime of indoctrination they are forced to fight until they get PSTD, injuries beyond serviceable repair (loose an arm? too bad you keep fighting with a robot one), or die, some basically “escaping” into a more normal free life. Does the story need more explaining beyond its a shady government agency? I mean clearly they wrote this when the whole NSA leak was big news.

Good answers. With ONI I meant that the general populace finding out about them being evil, and something being done about it. I just kind of saw a bit of a revolt brewing, and that never happened.
