First off I want to say I’ve been playing Halo since CE and love every game, I also think Halo 4 is, if not one of the best of all. That being said and I’m sure this has been said before why the black bars on the side for split screen? We need to get a petition to ask 343 to do away with the black bars on split screen, if other games like Borderlands and Gears of War can do it why not Halo. Every time a new Halo comes out my friends and I get together and say damn it’s still there, and we move on and enjoy the game. There must be a way to remedy this, this is my 1st post here and I don’t ever complain about anything Halo but as far as this game has come I don’t understand why we can’t fill the screen with Halo goodness…thanks.
I’d really appreciate the option for vertical splitscreen in Halo 5, like in Halo 2.
Yeah; I find it irritating that they still can’t expand the screens to fit a widescreen tv. I mean come on, why is it that every 2player game that is splitscreen fill up the whole dimensions, yet Halo still has no full support for widescreen when playng 2 player. This is sad to see that 343 is still in the standard era. Pathetic!
Definitely! My younger brother and I have played through all of the Halo campaigns, except Reach, and right as we started it was the first things we noticed! Its a waste of valuable screen space and most modern games do not suffer from this with split screen.
Not to get off track, but I notice substantial lag in split screen when playing online as well. Even with only 2 people on split screen, I notice the frame rate dropping in 5v5 CTF on maps like Complex and Solace. BTB is especially choppy. With 4 players, most maps are choppy at least occasionally, and some maps are so bad we are all at such a serious disadvantage, we can’t really try to win.

By the time Halo 5 comes out Bungie probably released their game and no one will play Halo 5 cause the Halo incident(no public beta after purchase)
