From what I have read there will be no split-screen in Halo 5. Considering Halo’s roots, this decision is incredibly surprising and disappointing. I have been playing for 8 years and my greatest memories were playing splitscreen with my friends. Now in college, my friends and I frequently play the MCC collection couchside. Not being able to play Halo 5 co-op is going to be a huge blow for sales, for both Halo 5 and for Xbox one controllers… I know personally I was planning on buying a 4th controller, the 2nd and 3rd I had already purchased for the MCC. Halo’s replay value depends on its multiplayer, and without couch co-op it will just not be the same. I still am in absolute disbelief that this decision was made. Halo is a social game, not an RPG that you lock yourself in your room to play. Is there any updated information?
