Ok guys so i want to know do you guys like the thruster jet pack on the Spartan armor added to halo 5 or do you prefer the huge leaps you could make in earlier versions. i would think you would like the halo 5 jet packs better right? if so why do they have halo classic throwback on the arena playlist, that would mean someone likes it better right. if you are one of those people could you tell me WHY having no jet pack is better?
Jetpacks make your movements very predictable and leaves you very vulnerable in the air. With the mobility aspect given more emphasis in Halo 5, jetpacks would struggle to keep up.
I already hate the spartan abilities, jetpacks would make the game practically unplayable
I find the abilities as a improvements. But I would like it the way it was back in Reach. You could pick your own spartan abilities like Active Camo, Evade, Hologram, ect. I miss those times.
i feel like jetpacks make the game play better personally and jet packs do not make the game practically unplayable because that’s literally the big add on to Spartan armor in 5, also the being able to grapple over high ledges. jetpacks allow you to get to farther ledges move out of the way quick, and jet pack over an enemy.

I have to agree with this
Jetpacks would make level design a mess. Halo 5’s mechanics already force map designers to do a lot of things that make them less than great. Adding jetpacks would make it worse because then you’d also have to account for even more vertical gameplay than the maps already do.
Plus, I’d prefer to have future games with less of the gimmicky movement system that Halo 5 has. Jetpacks would not help that at all. If I’m in the mood for a high-mobility shooter, I’d go play Titanfall.
I’d only want them in custom games as a feature for machinima stuff mostly.
