See heres the thing, everytime i played social slayer solo, i had no trouble racking up kills and having a good time in all the older halos, recently i went on a losing streak and i looked at this game and thought, what went wrong? Now i believe it has something to do with the skill matchmaking placing me against onyx ranks and my teammates being of gold or lower calibur but this is social right? i got stomped i admit cause these guys are playing social like its ranked and my teammates are running around getting tossed. i just made this post to vent and believe this game isnt for my lone wolf mindset. This game emphasizes team shot like no other and tbh i hate that and no im not a cod player like that.
I had a few cracks at Social Slayer and gave up. The normal Arena Slayer is more even and way more fun (probably cause of the Ranking system.) It might be social but no one likes to die 15 times and only get 3 kills.
With no guests on split screen there is less fodder. Low ranked players are better served playing Ranked Slayer. This has always been the case.
I strongly believe the “Social” in Social Slayer was indicative of the ability to bring guests in. Without that Social Slayer is essentially just a playground for high ranked players.

So to them, you’re the at onyx ranked and they’re getting tossed.
Social Slayer without ranks is only fun for those who are better.
The matchmaking is so messed up, It should take into consideration your WL streak, KD etc and find a perfect match. and i can’t stress how bad the game is at missmatching large teams with solo players it is simply unfair!

nah, i think its the pace of the game, without thrust( the get out of jail free card) gunfights were more engaging and people weren’t able to escape as easily.
Lol, I’m having fun. I have an even better time when I get to annihilate some occasional noobs

you’re literally a week away from a game content update and huge patch. hold out for a few more days
Youre better served for casual play in ranked, i know it sounds backwards but the ranking prevents diamonds from battling silvers

I prefer ranked play and like to learn and assess my mistakes. The only thing that pisses me off more than anything is the endless lag I’ve been getting.
That and the fact that my ping is usually bad at 120ms and then now that I’ve been getting lag I’m pretty much an OBVIOUS full second or two behind everything else. I’m behind a corner? Nope. Headshot by a bullet way the hell over there.
Throw a grenade? Finish the throwing animation and it comes out of my face a full 1.5seconds later.
Melee? I hit, the animation finishes then it hits a day and a half later. Giving them a full day and a half to do something about it right? Of course.
My reaction time is so fast, I shoot and do BR duels and every burst is a red reticle right on their faces… no hit markers. I’m dead.
Whoo, y’all have great connections and yet I somehow still have a positive KDR. I should be on MLG team.

Nah, i’m not quitting halo 5. like i stated, i just wanted to vent my issues on the forum to see what others would say. i was just confused about social slayer being more difficult to win than actual ranked team slayer lol.
Social is dead until they bring back split screen… that was the initial intent of it…
It was meant to play with 2-4 buddies on a screen against the same…
