Little blue people everywhere!

K

Yeah, they can be annoying. Ran into one last night that I encounter occasionally who probably has a 100 accounts and I’m assuming all he does is go for montage clips based on his playing and what he records. I don’t find it all that impressive considering it’s mostly against people way below his skill level.

I got a nice little laugh outta the title. XD

In all seriousness, smurfs are a royal pain in the rear. Oh well, they’ll have to contend with the hacker within me! Hahahahahaha! >:D

La la lalalala, sing the happy song :stuck_out_tongue:

But Smurf accounts are chaos to deal with, the only thing we can do is to just Block & Report Smurf accounts

Lets be honest though thats the only way to get sick frag clips anymore these days, you play against people your own strength and you gotta cut down on the flashy moves, or they WILL punish you for it.

it seems as if i play more smurfs than main accounts these days.

Blocking them is fine I guess, but you shouldn’t report them. It’s not breaking any rules to play on a new account. False reporting is lame. It’s like in OW when people get reported for not communicating. It’s just not against any rules, so you shouldn’t report.

I just hop on a Smurf and solo queue while listening to music. It can get pretty hard to find games once you’re in the higher ranks. Only thing that’s consistent in finding games is HCS, everything else is dead at high onyx/champ.

I don’t derank or play low levels on purpose, my smurfs are usually high ranked, until the point where it’s hard to find games on them as well. Like my accounts: Joey Sux at FFA and My BR Is Crap

Blocking does nothing. Reporting helps to point out the problem. I report in ranked when it’s obvious they are doing it to help boost a friend. I also report the friends. It’s unsporting in my opinion.

Ok, but that’s not a thing that should be reported. Smurfs aren’t against any rules. Reporting a person simply for playing on a new account, whether they’re good or not, is a false report. If a smurf gets action taken on them due to multiple false reports, that’s not good. People that false report should be banned.

An example of an unsporting practice is throwing games to be a low rank.

I hear you here totally, but I still have a hard time reporting as if you want to get technical they aren’t breaking any rules you know… I honestly think the only answer is you have to be a certain level to play ranked. All sorts of manners of games do it and I know it’s not a perfect solution but I think it’s the best one as of right now.

If halo 5 wasn’t broken garbage I’d be in disagreement with you and In agreement on reporting smurfs.

In the end smurfs still break the ranking system.

now, why do I not care for smurfimg in H5? The games matchmaking setup was garbage when I played (I say “when” cause I deleted the game months ago) by long search times. There are records of players spending 30 minutes and not getting games, much of it to do with their CSR being so high. I don’t blame those who instead made a new account cause I would do the very same if I wasn’t able to play on my primary account. I didn’t have the issue to much as my CSR was never that high, nevertheless if it was, even id use a smurf just to play a game I bought.

the other reason and the very reason I had a smurf account was the unnecessary bans when the game launched. I got kicked out of so many games that I simply made a second account to bypass that crap. It eventually got “better” (still not 100% resolved based off some threads on here from time to time) to where I did drop the tag as I never got banned for team killing or quitting, only from disconnects. Now if I was a quitter would I feel the same? I imagine quitters love being able to bypass bans because of Microsoft letting us create an infinite amount of gamer tags. Since this is an issue, it’s hard to actually punish quitters when there’s a loop hole around it.

in short: if H5 was a functional game, I’d imagine smurfing wouldn’t be as prevalent as it is, even then I still find it as an over exaggerated issue but an issue nonetheless, just one I wouldn’t fix unless 343 fixes the game, doubtful considering it’s 2 years old at this point.
