Away from opinions on the recent news, this gives Halo 5 the opportunity the come to PC this year instead.
Every Halo game in MCC PC was released in chronological order to build up Halo Infinite this year… except Halo 5. With Infinite in 2021, they could possibly put Halo 5 at the end of the list to release in 2020. HOWEVER, not in the MCC PC. With all the content worked in Halo 5, it should not only be brought back to a bigger PC community but as its separate game due to how big its GB is.
I know some people wouldn’t like it, but many others do enjoy Halo 5 as well. I even bet some people, me as well, are on a coop spree of the campaign with their friends until Infinite’s release. Halo 5 would be the best cake on top at the end of this year. In my opinion, it also has the best coop multiplayer as well because of Forge and sometimes Warzone.
Halo 5 shouldn’t be a game left behind five years ago. If CE, a game with honestly low content 20 years ago compared to its predecessors, can be on PC, Halo 5 should too.
There is absolutely no scope for Halo 5 to come to PC between now and the end of the year. Delaying Infinite doesn’t mean a bunch of free time and resources to work on other content or games, it means getting Infinite to the stage it needs to be. Sorry OP, it’s not happening.
Halo 5 also wasn’t left behind 5 years ago. That’s when it released, since then it’s had a bunch of content updates and continues to get playlist refreshes and matchmaking tuning.
Im gonna have to agree with the other posts here. I think 343 will concentrate on what they’ve already promised, which is odst and 4 on PC and delivering Infinite. Im still worried about Infinite even with the delay. I think H5 should and will be their least priority. Maybe when Infinite has been out for a bit will people get nostalgic for an H5 port.

343 didn’t leave game behind. The players collectively decided they wanted to play MCC more than 5. Pretty sure to this day, it still has more players.
Not much sense putting 5 on PC when there is not that big of a demand for, certainly not enough to pull anyone off MCC or Infinite.

I want to play halo 5, I had played forge…but man, Halo 5 without a campaign or warzone is nothing. It would be something REALLY nice that it would come to gamepass or either to MCC, it would increase the number of players.
I’ve always wanted Halo 5: Guardians to be put on PC in it’s entirety, especially now since Halo Infinite has been delayed until 2021. Later this year, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 will be added to the MCC on PC, so maybe since we have more time until Infinite arrives, 343i could put Halo 5 on PC, on the Microsoft store and Steam. I know MANY players would absolutely love to play Halo 5 on PC, with uncapped framerates, keyboard and mouse controls, and more. I don’t really think it should be added to MCC, because player progress could be lost, and MCC and Halo 5 are VERY large games. Plus, Halo 5 has so many different features and modes that I believe the entire game should be released separately, hopefully carrying our progress over from Xbox. I know my friends and I would LOVE to grind Halo 5 again, maybe even to get spartan rank 152. Hopefully once Halo 4 has been released on MCC PC, 343i will consider bring Halo 5 to the PC platform. Fingers crossed, and let me know what you guys think!
I wouldn’t count on this year, but I could see a Halo 5 PC port in early ‘21. But my question would be at that point, what happens to Halo 5 Forge? Right now it’s an option for Halo 5 MP on PC. Once the whole actual game comes to PC, it seems like there wouldn’t be much point in H5F continuing to exist.
-Yoink- no…
It was y’alls damn pc MCC and all the time developers were divided, trying to bring you our xbox exclusive series. That cost us the launch window of infinite. Now the new series x launches with nothing. I mean it doesnt have jackshit for 1st party releases. And sony is coming off of basically 3 out 4 systems sold were sony for last gen. They need to finish infinite. Maybe ad in a few extra multiplayer maps for making us all wait. And then you can have your halo 5 after the xbox owners, the ones who actually paid $60 for each of those halo games over the years, which was what paid 343 salary and bungie’s before it, gets thier Halo Infinite. Good day to you sir

insert Bender laughing GIF here You realize the MCC PC port is being done mostly by 3rd party studios, right? It would be the exact same thing for a Halo 5 port. Outside studios doing most of the work, with some minor involvement by 343i itself.

I think if they were to it would be a looong while.

I’m sure your right. I was just late to the party finding g out the game got delayed. So I was venting
Also wanted to point this out. Pretty soon, Halo 5: Guardians will be the ONLY Halo game not available on PC. I know technically Halo 5 IS on PC with the forge mode, but lets be real, it is pretty bad, and almost not worth downloading at all. We NEED Halo 5 to be added to PC, with uncapped framerates and all the settings that MCC did for the rest of the games. This game most likely wouldn’t be added to MCC, as it is too big and I would rather they just add the game to PC and let us keep our progress. I would grind the hell out of Halo 5 if it was on PC, especially now since Infinite was delayed. Hopefully they will consider it after Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 are ported to MCC PC. PLEASE 343!
I never could reason outside of possible contract agreements with Bungie, why the halo franchise outside of Halo CE took so long to get ported over to PC, the active Halo community may easily be 5xs as large by now simply because PCs are so much more accessible in other countries around the world an have a much larger user base. If Halo was so popular… Dumbfounded!!!

I will add this prime example, Halo CEA for 360 released on the 10th anniversary of Halo. Not even a year later 343 released Halo 4 many people blamed CEA for their gripes with 4, but CEA was mostly developed if I remember correctly by two studios one in Russia and another in Texas 343 just had oversight on everything/ a small team dedicated to CEA while the vast majority of 343 worked on Halo 4. Infinite’s delay in my eyes is a good thing games are getting big, better and taking more powerful systems to run them. Just let 343 take the time they need to really polish the game. As for PC it’s good that halo is on pc many gamers including myself started on console and eventually moved to PC. I’m fortunate to have played Halo since the beginning back in 2001 and to be able to have both a pc and console. So don’t hate on one platform or the other just realize that now the Halo community can get bigger due to more people being able to access and play it

Its ultimately management that gets a job done on time no matter what field or profession your in. Doesnt matter how many studios are in development. Every games crunch from the last 20 years brought in triple staff to finish in the last year so you could almost say every game had 3 developers theoretically. Bottom line is halos executive team have been split by many projects…mmc, infinite, marketing for both, and leaked sources are pointing to an absurd amount of time being devoted to the showtime halo series. It’s too damn much for one group of studio heads. Halo needs to be split between two studios like the cod franchise has been split. Offering a new game every couple of years instead of 2 new games every decade

Most times I check the “Most Played Games” list on my XB1X, H5 is higher on the list than MCC, so I think the Xbox player base in H5 actually is higher. Which doesn’t even mean anything bad for MCC. All the Halo’s have been great games, so I’m happy they all still have big enough populationss to still have functional matchmaking.
That being said, it’s harder to find MP games in H5 usually, so I bet most if that player base is in WZ Firefight playlists tbh.
Edit: MCC does have it by a bit right now though. I think that shows ODST being released very successfully and the seasons content also going well. And I’m always happy with a Halo title doing well
For all we know, halo 5 might be coming after the mcc is done on pc, half the game has been ported (i.e. the multiplayer part although on pc it was still missing warzone / firefight)
I want to play halo 5’s multiplayer above all the others as warzone looks pretty fun.
