I really want to know if I should or not buy Halo 5. I have played Halo 3, ODST, 4, Wars and Reach on the 360 (plus Halo PC), and I’ve been recently looking at 5. The things that bother me, however, are the lack of Objective gametypes such as King and Oddball and the connection issues present in the dedicated servers for players that don’t live in the US (since I live in Brazil). Despite the aforementioned, I’ve been reading that not only is the multiplayer experience incledible with the new mechanics but the campaign also is enjoyable for what it is (and, if the game proves to be indeed solid, I would consider “”“ignoring”"" the issues). Thanks for reading and have a great day.
You should
If you lived in the States I would say without a doubt buy it. Living in Brazil, I think you should talk to some more people in your area to discover their experiences in matchmaking before you buy.
It’s definitely a good game, buy it.
I did like the campaign, it is confusing, but I did like it. I know most seem to dislike the campaign though. The is a lack of content and a lack of communication from 343i, but the game is flawless as a Canadian point of view.
I have heard that it is a different story in Brazil with the new dedicated server. I do particularly find warzone full of fun (new game mode) and the REQ system fun too. (I mostly play warzone).
It is not an old Halo feel, but it does feel like Halo still with new game mechanics. I would say go for it
I’d recommend the game. The multiplayer is the most balanced and the franchise and the weapons sandbox/movement abilities allow for the most varied gameplay I’ve seen. Hopefully new modes get added soon to take advantage.
Thanks for the replies! I’ll search for topics about H5’s servers in Brazil and report back if I find any responses.
Wait until it goes on sale. Don’t believe the hype.
no
I would buy it but buy it used of possible, people outside of the US are experienced for some server issues
If you are outside the US then no don’t buy it as 343I’s servers are terrible, especially for players out of the USA
If the servers are an issue in your area, hold off until it goes on sale
otherwise def worth a buy
Buy
Halo 5 seems a better value/well made product than the competition, even if it is short on its own standards.

I’m going to say no, don’t waste your money on Halo 5. Money is better spent on the MCC or a game like Dying Light.
Yes buy it, it is easily one of the best MPs in the franchise campaign is fun but story needs work. Also as a first in all of Halo all weapons are effective, every gun can be used well.
Halo 5 is on sale here (“only” 100 real. Yes, games in South America are really overpriced). Afer searching for a while, the servers seem to be ok. I also have MCC (got the Xbox One bundle), as I really wanted to play Halo 2, the only game I still hadn’t played, and I’m able to find matches fairly fast.
Rent it at best.
Definitely don’t get it without playing or you’ll be in regret like I am. It’s definitely not great how people say it is.
I’m not the biggest Halo 5 fan, but I think you should try it.
I recommend buying it. Halo 2/3 were my favorite Halo’s. Halo 5 has a very similar feel to them and has also evolved in a good way. Or rent it first to see if you like it.
