Dear 343,
I think you guys should do a promotion with Halo 5 that’s gives everyone that buy’s the game a free headset. This promotion should be available for the people who pre-order the game or if you buy the game during the first 3 weeks of release. This will definitely boost the amount of teamwork and headsets used in Halo because the truth is, the reason some people don’t use headsets is because there’s broke or they don’t have one available. You guys can also make it that you get a little more SP if you have your headset plugged in.
thats like saying that destiny should automatically should have free headsets becuase its a shared shooter thats only really fun when playing with other people.
or that any fps game with multiplayer should have one.

Not that I’d turn my nose at a free headset or anything but anyone who has purchased an Xbox One to play this Halo game already has a headset as one comes packaged with the Xbox.

Maybe even two of them if they got the awesome Kinect 2.0 fun-dle bundle.
It’s 343/MS…they’ll give you a free headset but it will have permanent Halo 2 style voice masking “exactly how you remember it.”
Honestly, 343 should just fix matchmaking to group players with headsets with other players using headsets and those without with those without. Simple fix that cuts a lot of spending

Being literal here, the problem with Spartan chatter is that the enemy team can hear your Spartan talking, which gives away your position. The way headsets have been implemented in Halo, only your team can hear you speaking… which is frigging annoying when some 12 year old gets ahold of a microphone and rages into your ears. Or when there is ambient noise in the background and the microphone picks up the noise.

Destiny didn’t even allow you to talk with people outside your fireteam for the first eternity after launch.
people just don’t use their headsets period.
